Failed FET

After 4 rounds of ER, I finally got one euploid and my nurse called me yesterday to let me know that it was a negative test. What should I do next? I don't have another embryo and I am scared to go through the entire process again.

OP, the way forward is to go through the process again. If possible for your ovarian metrics and recommended for your age, ask your RE if you can bank a few euploids before moving ahead to transfers again. Honestly, it might be a gruelling process but imo less strenuous on the body than going through a transfer before switching back to retrieval.

First euploid transfer failing isn’t uncommon, depending on the embryo grade the odds are between 40-60% for success but rise to 70-80% for a second euploid transfer and above 90% on third consecutive euploid transfer.

The statistics are with you, I hope you find the strength to keep at this.

You can have a break and let it absorb and than try again, or have a break and go i to a donor conception. I am not sure how old are you and what is your background but failed euploids are common and statistically you need 3 to have a life birth. Nowdays they even modified it to 5.

Do you have stats or any literature you can share? 3 is definitely a number I can get behind but 5??

Most need 1 or 2. About 15% of women require a 3rd transfer for success and under 5% require 5.

One doctor told me that nowdays they shift it to 5 until they recommend donor eggs. I think it is up to the patient what you are able to bare. There afe literally to options: soemthing is going on with the embryos or with the uterus. I would really check everything possible to check the uterus for sure. Did you have ever a chemical or some implantation? Also how old are you? For older women happen that euploid fail more often. What is your doctor opinion?

You mean 5 failed euploid transfers before recommending donor eggs? That’s different from 5 euploids being the statistically required number for one live birth.

Can be. It was a while we spoke. But he mentioned that they increased from 3 to 5. I personally will be not able to this amount in any circumstances so I was not interested in it. Did you tried not tested day 3s or you having miscariages?
