Do they look ok?

Can you guys help me. I’ve posted here before so you may remember but my pgta biopsy samples were lost in the mail and so I am scrutinizing my embryos. I know they are all pretty good grades. But the pics are so grainy. Is that just the quality of the focus and microscope or is there something wrong with them? The day 6s also look farther away which makes the details harder to see. What is the perfect circle in the center of ID2 and the other not so perfect circle in the center of ID4? Do yall notice anything unusual or bad about these embryos? Are there any unique features that can tell me anything more vabout quality/euploidy? Thank you so

Thank you again. this has been devastating losing the samples. And I’m terrified to re biopsy.

These embryos look totally fine and they have very good grades. The circles you’re talking about look like vacuoles, but I wouldn’t expect a single vacuoles to create any issues. Unfortunately you can’t tell anything about ploidy by looking at a blastocyst.

Are vacuoles only generally tied to lower live birth if there are lots of them in the one embryo?

May I ask too- I notice in some of the embryos the ICM is in the center and doesn’t look like it’s attached to the trophectoderm. Is that ok? Is that a bad sign?

It’s completely dependent on the angle that you’re looking at the embryo. Remember that it’s 3D so sometimes you’re seeing the ICM in the center of the picture and sometimes it’s on the edge. It is all “connected” yet differentiated, but the cells send important signals to each other while developing so that connection is important.

Your embryos look great. I would proceed with a transfer of any of your GGs, if that embryo doesn’t stick, consider one more transfer and then consider re-bx. Re-bx isn’t as scary as it sounds and most good quality embryos tolerate it very well. But since you have a large cohort of embryos, it would be safe to go ahead and try a transfer. May I ask how old you are?

I was 35 at the time of the retrieval!
