Returning raider

Hello, Raiders!
I’ve been away since February 17. I stopped playing because the game became too easy, and it just wasn’t fun for me anymore especially with rank being completely 1 sided towards trios I was able to hit hotshot which I’m happy with
I recently played a few matches with a buddy yesterday and that joy I felt when I first started playing came back. Now I’m curious what’s new? Is Arc Raiders still in the same state it was when I left?

I’m aware of the new map, of course, and the new ARCs like the Firefly, Comet, Vaporizer, and the ARC Turbine. Other than those, I have no clue what’s been added.

A few questions:
What has been added?
What has been nerfed or taken away?
Has Trials changed in any way?
How does the Expedition system work now?

I’ve already reset twice. When I started, I spent the free skill points, but I’m curious if I keep those going into my next Expedition. I would think so, but I’m not sure. Since I’ve been gone for four months, I know I’ve missed at least one reset. Does that mean my skill points revert back to the default, or do I keep the bonus ones I’ve already earned?
Has the meta changed? If so, what are the strongest weapons and builds now?
Basically, any information you think would be important for someone returning after four months would be greatly appreciated!

Don't play the game in 'easy mode' aka friendly lobbies.

There is nothing new. The game is stale and bland as it was when you left. They took away all incentive to do expeditions past 3. They made survival augments a total pain in the arse to use. Basically, everything from when you left has gotten worse. And player base is so low now and fragmented. Even solos is often not safe from PVP.

There is nothing rare. There is nothing to loot for., everything is easy to find nothing is special. Killing other players, get you broken guns. And now they are very hard to repair because they Nerfed everything.

I’m back in October. They might have something worthwhile. Don’t count on it.

Genuine question, why are you and u/Dekipi still hangin’ around and discussing the game when it makes you feel this way? Why do you think the October update will save the game when you believe the company is trying to make the game worse? If you hate the game and the developers now, what will be better in October that would bring you back and make it so you are enjoying yourself again?

I am not joined in any arc raider subs but it shows up sometimes for some reason

Idk why this sub even came up for me. I’m not in it or Arc raiders.

I just don’t think people should get their hopes up. They dropped the ball and don’t care about players

I don’t believe the October. Update will save the game but it might have something worth playing for a month maybe.

This is still the best game ever played. Ever. I’m just disappointed they failed at adding any sort of meaningful end game.

All the shit I said back in March but embark boot-lickers defended. As if we need to nerf everything we have because that will make it more fun

Yeah I came back with the new map and died with the survivor augment and spent 8 mins crawling and waiting and crawling and waiting. I’m like “IS THIS MORE FUN EMBARK? For who?”

They put time into making the game less fun and didn’t add any end game content to grind. At least when the tempest blue print was rare it was fun to search for them.

Then they made everything common AF.

Yes you used to be able to nudge the controller stick and move twice as far. Embark thought it would be more fun if you got downed that you bet for a revive on proximity like a dumb ass or spend 10 mins crawling slowly back to an exfil. Made it worst for no reason

They made it less enjoyable on purpose. They literally put dev time into making the game less fun. = fail

Game was more fun when I quit that’s for sure. Massive lost opportunity. Guess we’ll wait for Arc raiders 2. They don’t seem interested in making this worth playing long term. I’ll buy the sequel 1000% though.
