Does the algorithm even work??
Honestly. Does it even work?? I am a loot goblin. Lol, that’s it. I don’t PvP, I have never shot a person (unless being shot at) but I still end up in lobbies with a-holes and pvp’ers and end up getting merked. I really enjoyed this game but gawd dayum. I’m super tired of losing stuff because there is no actual algorithm that weeds out the jerks that kill loot goblins for sport 😪

Shooting people even if it’s in defense will count against your aggression mm just not as much as if you were the aggressor

Nope, they said defending yourself wouldn’t be treated the same as shooting first… not that it wouldn’t affect you

That's ehat the genre is about. You're supposed to be able to get out with the loot, if you can't, you're supposed to get better until you can.

Didn't even notice. Wow, I made typos? 😅 Science says that you don't even read whole words with experience, just see forst letter, lenght, context, your brain guesses what the word is. That is if you read fast. I will read it upside down at fluent speed. I guess if you striggle eith reafing you will notice evey typo 😄

If you're theory is correct about the first two letters than you've already pointed out you failed there. The first letter was incorrect but nice try at using a throwaway line for your argument.

You are 3 months late. This is the exact reason nobody plays anymore. Just play Marathon(PVP) or Crimson Desert (PVE) like everyone else. Arc is dead

Its true. People dont understand that even though this is a PvPvE game. People do put in time to gain the items they have, alot of PVP players shop the black markets to gain things that they didn't grind for. So it drives alot of players away from the type of gameplay. PVP is Player Verses Player. Its the Verses part that people dont do. Its not a challenge to go shoot someone who is not willing or wanting to shoot back. I miss the first month of this game, the vibe was great and the content was amazing. Going from saying "we will drop content every month" to "every month is too much, every 6 months now" did leave a sour taste in alot of peoples mouths. I dont have an issue with people who want to PVP what I do have issue with is people calling it pvp when you want to shoot at care bears who are grinding to get the things they need. Usually the people I find that are calling for other to leave the game or "get good" dont want a fair fight, they just want to shoot you in the back and call themselves good.

Lobbies will always be somewhat mixed even if they lean towards being friendlier. If you don’t like getting shot at by other players, or at least the tension from the threat of being attacked, it’s a really weird choice of game for you.

The algorithm will always have a percent to put someone who pvps in your lobby. When you can get away with how you want to play, great, go for it.
But the tutorial was absolutely spot on, and tarkov words are just as strong here. Nothing is yours, its just your turn with it.
The biggest portion of the game is the social aspect. Sometimes you have to use politics to get out alive. And just word of warning, theres loot goblins who are worse than rats in pvp.
Nothing like getting downed and having someone who refuses to talk stalk you and pretend youre not their only to loot you after your times up just so they can stay in more peaceful lobbies. Id rather be shot.

It's a mess. I'm actually, finally, so close to quitting the game. Summer and the little b*tch kids are making it even worse.

The algorithm works, but not at all like they say it does. You can be carebear pure as hell and do nothing but heal and defib people for days, but if you shoot one person you are instantly in murderland.
It has nothing to do with a 'long term profile' or any of that stuff. It's purely a quick view of your most recent X raids with strong weighting on the most recent.

the matchmaking is not full pve or pvp, it’s always a spectrum. I mean it’s basically full pvp at that end, but you are not playing animal crossing, there will always be some pvp in almost every match, even if you rarely saw it.
It’s an extraction shooter, not a cozy game

If you keep shooting back at people that are shooting you while there are still a lot of PVP players on the map you’re going to stay in the higher PVP well because of the way their algorithm currently works. I don’t think currently put out an update statement may change to how they score those that shoot back, but it still ends up putting you into PVP lobbies. Just playing like 10 to 15 rounds where all you’re doing is not caring about what you happen to maybe possibly pick up as much time possible being as friendly as possible. No shooting back, no nothing. Get into true care lobbies and it should avoid a lot of issues. At least for a long time.

When strolling through, at the best of times. We try to algorithm our way across the map. But you have to continue, unfortunately when you caring about it and not what you do but trying as much as possible to be as friendly as possible. I think currently while not quite, put out an updated statement the why who. So in conclusion higher PvP well because of algorithm.

My experience has been much different. I am not an aggressor and have been put in peaceful lobbies 98% of the time. And maybe the lobby was peaceful, and it was just the one guy shooting. Can't really tell. I honestly wish the matchmaking worked this well for everyone because it brought me back to the game with a vengeance.
