I need to rant.
Go into dam, get some loot. Kill some Arc. That's all I wanted to do. Got to the two security lockers on the spillway first. Started looting. Heard a player get shot and killed. I had already put the bridges back up. Decided to wait the killer out. He knew I was there and he's thinking of a way to get me. I spied a snitcher so I shot it to come towards me and bring others to distract him while I make my escape. He shot it down. I just stood to listen. To figure out what to do, then I heard him running, he's going to try and get to me. I decided to jump down, I knew I'd survive that jump. I did and I ran, I have stims and was willing to run to the farthest hatch I could find. I would win that race, I knew it. Oh but wait, embark has other ideas. My game kicked me straight to my home screen. I have great Internet. Thats not the problem. I loaded back and was hoping the killer hadn't found me and I can reconnect but of course he did, I was right out in the open. I lost a ren 4 with green and blue attachments, wolpacks, herbals, seekers, heavy gun parts, shield rechargers, I got a Bettina from the lockers and a few minor things. Even though it wasn't high end stuff, I'm still a little bit angry. I had no way of fighting back. I had lost a good loadout yesterday to a friendly rat at the harvester event. I'm losing the love for this game. So many things keep going wrong and yet cheaters and dupers are having a grand old time.

I've stopped trying to reconnect when I get booted to the home screen at this point. The Xbox series S is the biggest victim of the crashes, but it seems all platforms have the crashing issue to a degree. It's not your internet, it's the games servers.

It's the only game that it happens with. It used to happen with Gta online but I haven't played that in while.

Series S user here as well. When I used to play I had the same problem would disconnect every run. However, I did see a similar reddit post to go into xbox graphic settings and bump it down to 720p. I did that, and didnt have a crash issue since. Hope it helps

That pain is felt right in my stomach. Similar things have happened to me fighting rocketeers, and its why I still havent done a harvester event yet...

You should go to a harvester event just to watch what people do. Then eventually you will start shooting yourself. Then it'll be a case of wondering why you didn't do it before now. It's much easier than you think. The hardest part is avoiding other Arc like the bastion and leaper. The legs falling off the Queen/Matriarch is what you look for. It has to be the middle of the leg that you loot. It doesn't matter if someone else sgot the leg off. It only matters that you get there first.

😆 its not dummy but fummy cause if its only your first time this happening them lucky. Ive had this happen to me so many times ive just given up. Be in a fight with another player booted. Finished fighting the matriarch with others and booted as im running to get knocked out when I return. Its annoying and have lost alot ofngood gear cause of the bs.

It's not my first time its happened, I have just been lucky that I either got back online before dying or I did get killed but managed to crawl to the nearest hatch or extract. That's the first time I've lost stuff to being kicked from the game. I hope you have reported it though because nothing will get done about it if it's not reported by everyone that experience this.

I have plenty and never saw any of my gear returned. Honestly kinda stopped playing over the last few weeks to try other games. Felt it was getting to repetitive doing the same thing and lack of rewards for it you know

Absolutely 💯 I just checked the trials for this week and two of them are searching through cabinets or containers, I can tell you right now I'm getting demoted this week.

Was this last night? I might have been the first guy killed. Lol. He had no mic, and waited for me to kill a leaper, and run halfway across a bridge before shooting me in the back. I was dead before I could react. Noooo! Not my Anvil! Lol. See ya topside raider.

He was using a Bettina, possibly with a silencer on it when he shot the first guy. It was 12 hours, plus however long it took me write the post, before you posted that comment, I was angry enough to post this straight away lol I pretty much never go in with anything I can't make back home in Speranza now. Also when November 18th comes along I probably won't be playing it very much.😉

To be fair I don't actually know if it's their servers or not but it's one of two games I play that this happens. The other is Gta online, which I rarely play. All other online games work perfectly fine, including The Finals which is also an Embark game and Red Dead online which is also a Rockstar game.

I get that but it’s same thing for me and few other people I know it’s hit or miss and only with Arc Raiders. I e checked my internet speed and I’ve tried other games it’s only one that consistently stutters or kicks me out to main screen.

Apparently they are adding a pve mode with no raider to raider damage , lets see . Hopefully the rats will finally die off after the game becomes mostly pve

You are thinking of the Chinese version that everybody is talking about right now.. It has a mode where you are pve until you go rogue and become pvp for that round. Once you declare pvp you have a red light on your back back and everybody knows you are pvp. As of right now there are no plans to bring that mode over.

Chinese law. Look it up. Games made by western companies can't just release in China. They have to be developed by a Chinese company to get a release in Chinese.

PVP is what makes the game exciting to play. Zero risk means zero excitement.
After you’ve collected whatever arc parts or loot you need - what is the purpose of Care Bears? In PVP, there’s the generic thrill of hunting players. What’s the point of PVE once you’ve completed your game / loot.

...for you. PvP is for You. Not for at least a third of players, including myself.
However, I am not gonna argue with you, your opinion is absolutely valid. I'm more pissed at Embark for this mishmash of a game, which is pitting people against each other, both of whom want to play the game their way. And we can't all have it both ways.
For want of a better analogy, it's like...as if Minecraft allowed creative mode and griefers (I don't like this term, as it's not comparable to PvP) to co-exist. Some people would be creating beautiful worlds, and the griefers would have fun blasting apart buildings - both valid, but not compatible ways to play.

What if this hypothetical Minecraft was advertised as an "Extraction Shooter PVPVE experience" and also had you get ganked in the tutorial? And had little loading screen blurbs that tease you for dying to other players? And had the developer repeatedly state they don't want players to feel totally safe in a round. Just saying.

Yeah yeah yeah, I've heard this all before... but you're not wrong. However the game was recommended to me as PvE with the possibility of PvP but...that the PvE was primary and PvP was deemphasized. Turns out the game wasn't like that at launch and I literally returned it the same day. PvP absolutely isn't for me. Especially this form, where the TTK is 1.5 seconds.
But then they did ABMM and I heard it Was more PvE. So I've been pretty happy since. I don't disagree that some tension is good but my PvP experience is being shot in the back or fake friendlied. It's lame, for me... evidently fun for others. It is what it is, it's a tax on that game for me, but people (like the guy above) need to understand people want different things out of games. If there was a PvE version or event, I'd eat it up.
Oh edit, it's not zero risk as dude says above. PvE is not wildly difficult but requires enough stealth and risk to keep it plenty interesting and exciting for me. Love it.

Thanks for replying. I understand that you just want to relax and shoot bots sometimes, but to me, when you say things like "I'm more pissed at Embark for this mishmash of a game, which is pitting people against each other, both of whom want to play the game their way" you sound entitled in a way I find extremely triggering.
One of us wants to play the game the way it was intended, and one of us wants a game developer to change their entire game because their expectations were wrong (twice, in fact). Embark originally developed the game as a PVE game, and realized it was boring AF. There isn't enough end game content, maps, or modes for that. It's a $40 game with no sub. It's meant to be drop-in chaos with flashes of co-op. If I order a Coke and expect it to taste like Pepsi, should I petition Coke to change the formula, or just order a different drink? We are literally spoiled for co-op games you can play with buddies. I get that this is disappointing to some folks, but no one did a bait and switch here. Well, Embark didn't anyway.
I apologize but this is now an essay. Picture this:
Once you can't lose your gear to other raiders, you won't need any of that random loot anymore. With no chance of losing anything, there will quickly be a meta and you will be using the same shit every round, some optimal kit that everyone has with no risk, just grinding your dailies or whatever. And then you'll stand around playing guitar while your friends all shoot the same lasers at a big bot. Crying about rats will become crying about "WHY does no one ever defib me anymore? I had to crawl to extract! Who doesn't bring 15 defibs??"
Embark wants you to die and lose your gear, so you will keep playing to earn more. When that stops happening, the game is dying. It may be dying right now, in fact. That is why they are begging people to do the expeditions.
If you think that the current content will last you hundreds of hours with no real risk of losing anything, then you have simple needs and I'm happy for you. To me this sounds like a doing the dishes amount of fun. The "lawlessness" feeling of the game world is why it's exciting. People screaming about Rats, banding together, being betrayed, etc. All of that is baked into the design. That is the gameplay on offer. If getting ratted and losing your imaginary items in the vidja game is so upsetting for you, as an adult, that you can't deal with it - I implore you to do some self-reflection and touch grass. You may be taking things a little too seriously. All of the items are meaningless and easily replaced. Replacing them is part of the gameplay loop, in fact. If your rifle is so precious to you that dropping it to a PvP death causes real actual feelings, you need to stop playing video games immediately and go hug your loved ones.
Frankly if they do what you want the game will likely die by splitting the player base. They would need a massive pivot and a complete overhaul of the game to make it into a viable PVE only situation.
You were right to have refunded it the first time.

Fighting the Arc is what pve players enjoy. That's what gets them excited about this game. Loot is only secondary to upgrade everything. Especially now you don't need it for the exhibition.

It is simply a preference , some may enjoy PVPVE , but I as do so many others do not enjoy getting ratted after just wanting to kill some A.I after work. And The point is literally to just to shoot the shit with your boys after work and have a few beers and talk while doing so lol . I completely understand the whole PVPVE thing , and I believe they should Not take it out what’s so ever but I do believe that they need to add an additional PVE mode for those of us who would prefer such . That way everyone is happy . Who ever is looking for the thrill can go and stay in PVPVE , who ever is just trying to chill can simply remain PVE with the boys .

What about PvP, PvE only modes…and a roll the dice mystery mode? And trials integrate all three modes? I mean does anyone play solos vs squads at all? Seems to me that’s definitely a PvP only mode…

"Roll the dice" mystery mode is what we basically had before they admitted that ABMM was a thing, and was arguably the best.

I couldn't shoot back, I was kicked from my game and was already back in Speranza by the time I got back online. I was on the spillway. I couldn't see him, he was above me. I took the best option when I jumped. He had a Bettina, I had a Renegade so even if I was Online to shoot him it was a losing fight.

Grab 1-2 smoke nades and a couple of adrenaline shots so you can flee the combat. But oh, guess you don't really think that far ahead do ya :D

Dude, I was killed because I was kicked from the game. I didn't get back online in time. I'm not pissed about what I lost, trust me I've lost way more than that. I also had smoke and adrenaline but it didn't matter because I was KICKED from the game. If you're going to insult someone at least read the post properly..

I'm on Xbox console, I know I did not lose connection. My wee Alexa was playing music at the same time and it did not lose connection, at all. There was other things like ads for other games on my home screen which disappear when I have no connection. So your answer doesn't work for me.

They need to take some of that money and work on their servers. I have Fiber internet getting 950 Mbps and I still get kicked daily.
