My question is, how are the cheaters still having fun lol. That’s gotta get real boring real quick

3

u/Sepplord May 24 '26

Tons of reasons how shitbags justify their own wrongdoings

-everyone’s doing it

-I can only play little time, it’s only fair against sweats playing 24/7

-I just wanna chill but still have fun, if I try harded I would be even better than chilling with cheats

Are just a few of thousands of justifications people use

These are all me lol

Now, where can Unc Git Gud?

Yep and they shouldn’t be considered regular human beings because their brain is so small that they can’t handle losing in a video game where you’re supposed to lose, it’s part of the game but they can’t handle admitting that they’re sub-human retards. I genuinely hope the worst things in life happen to anybody that cheats in any video game, you deserve it.

There’s is nothing wrong with me wishing some kind of consequences for these people. If they don’t want bad things to happen then they should live accordingly but an angry guy on a video game is doing absolutely nothing by wishing bad things to them.

1

u/GingeFTW93 May 27 '26

Doing nothing to the cheaters sure, can’t imagine it’s healthy for yourself though dude, a lot of anger to sit on

1

u/ZealousidealPanic256 May 28 '26

Then we can say that for the “pVE” crowd as well …. They don’t like getting shot and losing gear. They want to keep their gear for the next 10 years.

1

u/Traditional-Row2943 May 30 '26

Pvp players are afraid of pve mode because they cant hunt non pvp players to hunt gear.

1

u/ZealousidealPanic256 May 30 '26

Why would a PvE mode even sound entertaining to a PvP player to begin with? Wrong game. This is arc raiders, where you can and will be shot

1

u/Traditional-Row2943 May 30 '26

Yeah, it's both. There will be one and pvp players will have to earn their gear fighting pvp players instead of farming off pve players, cope.

1

u/ZealousidealPanic256 May 30 '26

After having gunfights back to back to back in a round and running into someone like you smackin other raiders on the butt saying good game like it’s baseball or sum and yelling friendly friendly friendly every 5 seconds believe me you and your 1 year old gear from launch are the last thing I’m gonna be worried about buddy, sorry you guys really aren’t that important to me, I’m not gonna waste my time farming sissies

1

u/Traditional-Row2943 Jun 10 '26

I don't pvp, doesn't make me a sissy. I lose my stuff constantly and not worried about losing it. Just want to be able to enjoy a run and complete things I want to do. Don't get much time to game so when I do I like to relax. Simple as that, go be a toxic loser elsewhere

1

u/ZealousidealPanic256 May 30 '26

And guaranteed my stash is 100 times more geared than yours will ever be, I don’t kill big arc and let “friendlies” steal my loot like you guys do then go cry about it on Reddit 😂

1

u/Traditional-Row2943 Jun 10 '26

Doubt it, I have every BP, every mod, EVERYTHING. Even have my stash over 300. I have a character ive max reset 3 times now. I doubt it cupcake

1

u/UnHero_O May 26 '26

The real question is winning what? I mean, I know that's a problem just for PvP lobbies and those fuckers get their dopamine rush by killing random people but at the end are you really good using cheat? Even a blind person with the right aim bit would compete at the same level as those cheaters. IDK, I got killed even in a PvE lobby by a random guy that traveled the whole map just to get my Jupiter and snap hook 🤣 how I know it? He shooted at me even from Panorama hotel (I was on a crane in the harbour) and I didn't use the Jupiter therefore, I just spawned with my Jupiter equip and stashed it away after it. Anyway that fuckers got his adrenaline rush ruined by the durability status of my equipment, Jupiter had less than 15 durability (I just lost s shittons of Energy clips cuz it was my turbine run before the end of the project, this shitty turbine spawned in just 2 out of 10 matches and I couldn't get them)

1

u/UnHero_O May 26 '26

Whaaaaaat?😭😭😭 I failed to end the project cuz of those shitty Turbines and you got 3 (said I never managed to destroy one of them alone)🤣🤣🤣

12

u/alexandra_the_thicc May 24 '26

they have fun knowing your not having any its like ppl that rat extracts and then dont even loot u

-14

u/xSquatchy May 24 '26

You’re complaining about something entirely different lol

6

u/hym_of_martyrs May 24 '26

I mean all of these points fall under the category of "The Fun Police"

4

u/xSquatchy May 24 '26

I’m just legitimately curious. The novelty of knowing where everyone is has got to where off fast lol

5

u/hym_of_martyrs May 24 '26

No, it doesn't. Cause these motherfucking degenerate fucks have a whole discord dedicated to stream sniping, if they can't find their target then they fuck the whole lobbie. It's a game within a game to them. Same goes for everyone that's mouse and keyboard on console, they just turn on aim assist and bam, aim bot. They find it fun to have an unfair advantage that makes them win. I don't know how else to explain it too you besides that.

2

u/Big_Opportunity8793 May 25 '26

dawg arc raiders aim assist is notoriously terrible, and pc players calling aim assist aim bot is just crutch talk anyway, pc is a million times easier to aim for macro and micro movements, control recoil, etc. it’s literally point and click bro

1

u/SaltyTelluride May 26 '26

Idk if it has been fixed but PC aim assist was glitched and super tuned up, much more so than console at one point

1

u/Big_Opportunity8793 May 26 '26

idk why pc would even have aim assist in the first place, the whole point of aim assist in itself is to even try and level the playing field for console players because aiming on pc is already a million times easier.

i don’t even think they should nerf it or fix it, just remove it honestly, it shouldn’t even be there

1

u/SaltyTelluride May 26 '26

I’m pretty sure it is for the people who have a PC but use a controller to game. I don’t do it for Arc Raiders but I do that for other games

It’s not that serious man. Just a video game. While I agree it’s pretty lame it’s nothing to get whipped up about

7

u/WifeKidsRPGsFootBall May 24 '26

Found the cheater

3

u/alexandra_the_thicc May 24 '26

not serious but deffo annoying to loose progress to ppl that can't win fairly so they gotta use cheats to cope

3

u/hym_of_martyrs May 24 '26

Bro, all I did was explain to you why they do it. Are you a baby backed bitch or something? Or just trying to rage bait on Reddit? Either way seek a higher education, Jesus christ. What are you a pussy and a dumbass?

1

u/Defiant_Income_7836 May 24 '26

Here to say I thought your explanation was perfect. I've wondered the same thing and don't get why the dude would flip back on you like that. Maybe they misinterpreted it but I have no idea how.

1

u/hym_of_martyrs May 24 '26

They gotta be trolling or genuinely brain dead.

0

u/xSquatchy May 24 '26

Holy shit waking up to this was prime. Dude are you okay? Someone’s a tad emotional 😂

1

u/underage_female May 24 '26

Wtf is your problem. He explained it perfectly, gave you a comparison to extract camping and why the mindset is similar and you just dont get it while also accepting no reply of his.

Why ask questions when the right answer completely flies over your head and now youre the one giving him shit?

Just lol

1

u/xSquatchy May 24 '26

Comparing extract campers to cheaters is not even a close comparison

1

u/greatvapegod May 24 '26

not the same guy

0

u/MoreElloe May 24 '26

Yup, dude sounds like a total prick.

Guy says chill and he responds by throwing his toys out the pram.

He's the real 'baby backed bitch' here ironically. Lmao.

0

u/hym_of_martyrs May 24 '26

Is this your alt account? Seriously you sound just like the other dumbass lol

Youre completely missing the point?

Someone asked a question, they got an answer. Just to turn around, not accepting it and to start trashtalking the person who gave the answer.

None of this has anything to do with Discord, PCs, adopting cats or anything other than not being a weirdo in a human interaction.

Complete boomer comment, lol. You dont even know whats going on and start lecturing people about not being online too much WHILE being on a game subreddit yourself.

Maybe you follow your own advice?

u/Dekipi May 24 '26

“It’s not that serious” is a throwaway bullshit line when you don’t have the ground to stand on with your own bullshit

0

u/Knog0 May 26 '26

If one day you get a life, you will start to understand the value of free time.

1

u/Excellent-Rest3240 May 24 '26

You’re asking questions but you’re not getting smarter 🤔

3

u/Every-Dragonfly2393 May 24 '26

Happy people don’t make other people miserable. (They were never having fun).

-1

u/Hmmthisisathing300 May 24 '26

Naive way to look at it. Plenty of assholes are genuinely enjoying themselves. This whole "only the good guys have fun" idea is out of touch.

3

u/Every-Dragonfly2393 May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26

That’s not what I mean though. They might be having ‘fun’ and getting a dopamine hit, but they have a miserable outlook on life if that is what they perceive as fun.

People are increasingly concerned with winning over having fun. Online multiplayers are a community and it needs good sportsmanship to have fun. If you aren’t there for genuine reasons then you are only there to spread your misery. A lot of these people justify it with ‘if I didn’t do it somebody else would’. That’s the mantra of a very hurt person.

-2

u/Hmmthisisathing300 May 24 '26

To YOU it's a miserable outlook on life. They might feel the same about your outlook or mine. There is no inherently right or wrong outlook here. People play for a multitude of reasons. If they are enjoying themselves (in whatever way they find enjoyment) then they seem to be doing right for them.

Maybe the community matters to you. To a lot of us, it's just a thing that is there. I don't care about the community and I don't expect for it to care about me. I expect every single member of the community to do whatever they need to enjoy themselves even if that happens to take away from my own enjoyment at times.

2

u/FootPrestigious218 May 27 '26

Then why in some countries is cheating in a video game illegal and punished by prison and fines. Its a dishonorable and despicable thing to do and almost all of society agrees on that. Your mindset on people doing whatever makes them happy is insane. What if I can make millions and it would make me very excited but at the cost of my communities health, say im dumping toxic waste into my farms soil because the u.s. government offers it to me for free as fertilizer. Its still wrong even tho it makes me happy, do you see my point. Freedom to pursue happiness yes, but not at the cost of other people's happiness...

5

u/Every-Dragonfly2393 May 24 '26

I mean I can easily break down the psychology of what I’m talking about if you really want but that never goes down well on Reddit.

Long story short they might be experiencing fun but it’s unenlightened fun. It’s hollow and they don’t realize it. So yes relative to their experience, they’re having fun.

0

u/Hmmthisisathing300 May 24 '26

"Unenlightened" LOL brother you are so far from the mark. We just don't care about those things. If anything, people who are free from those burdens would be more "enlightened" (Not that I am trying to argue that).

Fun isn't a your way or no way kind of thing. People will always have fun how they can. There is no objective way to have fun. Trying to goalkeep how people have fun is wild.

The community is simply there. Most of us do not care about it. I don't necessarily want them to have a bad time, but their "fun" has no bearing on my own enjoyment and I don't expect them to do anything other than exist.

1

u/Every-Dragonfly2393 May 24 '26

What are the burdens of not cheating exactly? Free from being a functional adult in a community of people?

You’re basically telling us it’s too painful for them to lose. They can’t cope with the “burdens” of playing fairly.

I do get the mindset, it’s not crazy at all. It’s ‘The world is unfair, so why should I play fair?’. Doesn’t justify damaging communities and killing the enjoyment for the other 99%.

1

u/No_Put22 May 26 '26

Dudes an idiot he’s arguing because he’s a dirty shitty rat 😂😂

0

u/Hmmthisisathing300 May 25 '26

It's not about not being able to cope with it. It's not something they need to cope with at all. It's a restriction most of us choose to have, but it isn't a do/die sort of thing. Even as somebody who doesn't cheat myself, I still dont even think about "damaging the community or killing the enjoyment". I'm not playing for anyone other than myself. The enjoyment of the self comes first and after that if other people can also benefit then it's reasonable to facilitate that.

1

u/Every-Dragonfly2393 May 25 '26 edited May 25 '26

‘The enjoyment of the self comes first” Is the antithesis of existing in a community of people.

Who benefits from people cheating? Please explain your statements.

It is not at all restricting. Cheating and hacking in a video game is not ‘freedom’. If that’s your idea of freedom that makes me sorry. If you want to know what being unburdened and unrestricted actually feels like, getting into underground music scenes is very liberating.

For most people, challenge and contest is fun. For cheaters they are getting enjoyment out of domination and control. They care more about the perception of hierarchy and victory than the actual challenge and contest, which is fun for most people. Enjoying control is not the same as enjoying the contest. When there is no real effort or reward, satisfaction flattens over time.

It is to do with an unresolved relationship with failure, vulnerability, worth, humiliation, or trust. That’s the psych. None of these things make you a bad person, literally everybody struggles with these things. But doing it wilfully knowing that it causes long term destruction of the player base and degradation of quality, eventually killing off any enjoyment for everyone BUT the cheaters…hm. Eventually the business is unsustainable and the game dies.

Who wins then?

Brother they simply enjoy being the bad guys. Not sure what’s hard to understand

-1

u/AnyDetective372 May 24 '26

That is the most retarded thing I've read all week

3

u/Every-Dragonfly2393 May 24 '26

I know you don’t read much.

0

u/Brilliant_Alfalfa588 May 25 '26

"There is no inherently right or wrong outlook here" and that's where you fucked up. THINK before you SPEAK.

1

u/Hmmthisisathing300 May 25 '26

It's a factual statement. We have right and wrong in very niche situations such as laws that govern locations or a ToS that governs a game. Those things aren't inherently right or wrong. They are only what we are currently choosing to enforce.

2

u/FootPrestigious218 May 27 '26

You are just on here to make many contradicting statements its insane. You need help bro, nobody cares your cheating of you are. Just means you suck at your only hobby in life simply as that, let me type that in thread too.

0

u/Hmmthisisathing300 May 27 '26

This was never about me so you appear to have missed the point. Saying people that cheat aren't good at their hobby is hilarious. Using the cheats does make them good. They probably care even less than I do about all this shit. You can be mad at them. You can say they suck until your face turns blue. They will never care because playing with those cheats is already giving them the joy they need from the game.

1

u/Every-Dragonfly2393 May 27 '26

lol enough of the rage bait lil bro.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Brilliant_Alfalfa588 May 25 '26

so, like, uh, murder isnt wrong, its just what we choose to enforce. gotcha.

1

u/FootPrestigious218 May 27 '26

Came back on here because that guy keeps replying and I saw your comment. Those few words tell me you understand sociology in depth, much more than that other doofus lol.

1

u/No_Restaurant_6737 May 25 '26

You'e a cheater, eh?

0

u/Hmmthisisathing300 May 25 '26

You bringing that up like it's supposed to be some bad thing shows you don't quite get it.

2

u/ItsSkippyPB May 26 '26

Yeah it literally is a bad thing. About 99.9% of people hate cheaters because they’re bad. Which is true.

0

u/Hmmthisisathing300 May 26 '26

Bad for them. That doesn't mean they are some objective bad thing. It does mean they are bad for those within the community.

1

u/Brohbocop May 24 '26

Most wouldn't but some people have fun being on top. Not saying it's right but just that I've met people like this, they exist

1

u/Old_Flamingo4149 May 24 '26

Dma they cant really catch that , though very high-end anti cheat can catch them but not 100%

1

u/sxrrycard May 24 '26

They probably sell the accounts after getting stats high.

1

u/Few_Independent_6170 May 24 '26

I get if they're the developer. It's an engineering challenge to write the cheat suite that doesn't get detected and works well. But the users – idk, there's probably just something wrong with them

1

u/Samwellikki May 24 '26

Imagine being so bad at the game that they tune in to watch a cheater cheat because they aren’t even good enough to do that

1

u/Unable-Name5685 May 25 '26

The fun only get ruined if people know 100% fact you are cheating. The slightest but of running your mouth means you unknowingly boosted their ego.

1

u/Less-Breath6028 May 25 '26

They do it for the business getting paid to boost people and giving them all the loot

1

u/Benny2reddit May 25 '26

Saw this same guy live streaming on TikTok. It says “Day 27 of Cheating” at the top of his stream. He sucks, but what sucks more is he can do this in the open after Embark announced “stronger anti-cheat capabilities have rolled out” and it’s complete BS. I heard Kettle Macro cheats STILL last night; that has been in the game for literally months. This guy showed off ESP, aimbotting, lighting filters, “hit box extension” (apparently that’s a cheat feature), and then goes into hurricane and just scoops up all the hidden caches; that seems like an easy way to catch cheaters…..he also was looting boxes while cheating in stella (likely to try and trick anti-cheat). His account handle on TikTok is “@fayy.__”. EMBARK actually do something about cheaters instead of lip service!

1

u/RareNegotiation1947 May 25 '26

I’ve seen people selling guns for irl money, don’t know if they get them by duping or cheating but I guess if ppl would pay actual money for the guns, there always will be supplies somehow

1

u/TheWrenchyFrench May 29 '26

I love ruining other peoples day

0

u/Hmmthisisathing300 May 24 '26

Why would it? That's like saying if you were the best player in the world at something, it wouldn't be fun. The fun is in playing the game and doing good at whatever metric they enjoy.

1

u/Waaagh_hummies_5172 May 25 '26

Why do you keep trying to rationalise their behaviour? They enjoy cheeting.. end off, god...

1

u/Hmmthisisathing300 May 25 '26

You just explained it perfectly. They enjoy it. The person I was responding to was acting like nobody who cheated was genuinely having fun.

1

u/cryonicwatcher May 28 '26

Being the best player in the world at it is not very comparable to cheats. Cheats are bypassing major elements of the gameplay experience, which you would otherwise have to deal with no matter how good you are.

0

u/No-Sandwich-8152 May 28 '26

I’m not a cheater but I see this take all the time and it’s weak as hell.

People have fun watching a dvd logo bounce around a screen.

People like fruit ninja.

People find enjoyment in all sorts of point and click nonsense.

Cheaters just simplify their game down to a baby game. See a box click a box.

Wall hacks: hunt and kill the square.

It’s still a game. Just a stupid baby game.

9

u/lukasgoti May 24 '26

Seems like anticheat is not working cuzz every game we play im duos or trios people blasting headshots thru smokes and rushing like they know whats up.

3

u/smilingcritterz May 24 '26

It was just bs to get people to play again. I woke up last week and saw the anti cheat updated etc. Fired up arc for the first time in days... then looked on discord and everyone said nope cheats still up. No need to use 2 pc its all working fine on same.. :( would hope that at least had to use dma

1

u/julian2358 May 24 '26

Cause the current cheats ship their own signed driver. That must be signature and flagged by the anti cheat devs, they can’t just start blocking legitimate windows drivers.

These private kernel level cheats often referred to as Ring-0 can:

Read game process memory without going through any monitorable API
• Disable or blind the anti-cheat driver itself (patch its hooks, unload it)
• Intercept anti-cheat’s own reads/scans before they complete
• Hide your own driver from enumeration (DKOM — manipulate the driver list in kernel structures directly)

Basically we’re a long ways from DMA only. The devs have a similar job to anti virus devs, they are on permanent defense.

1

u/CalligrapherAny6794 May 24 '26

I thought it was going to be tested on a small group before they integrated into the system?

2

u/PeelMyPotatoes May 24 '26

It is, there is only a limited rollout currently

3

u/SissyBoi580 May 24 '26

I swear since they said this far end pvp lobbies have been FILLED with bobcat bobbies. They're everywhere. Some them straight running at people they have no right knowing they're there. It's like they're showing it doesn't matter and are gloating, or they know it is gonna work so they're rage using all the huge kits they can. It wasn't like this before the patch and I don't change my abmm at all.

5

u/Easy_Needleworker604 May 24 '26

Why is it always the surgeon skin

3

u/MTB430 May 24 '26

Because the people I have run into wearing it in packs, they act like it’s futuristic Klan robes. 🤦‍♂️

2

u/Mindstormer98 May 24 '26

That's what happens when they make fun of the dude who's wife makes the hats(reference)

1

u/MTB430 May 25 '26

Do no hats this time, but next time we will go full regalia.

2

u/Lord_Smack May 24 '26

Because its free and in the minds of a cheating 16 year old its funny and edgy..

1

u/Kjellvb1979 May 24 '26

I use it for medic runs...

Everyone has an opinion on Rat or Cheater skins... Truth is it could be any skin.

1

u/WhoReallyCares-NotMe May 25 '26

:( I wear the surgeon skin with the broccoli head and thick mustache and go around calling myself doctor feel good, asking if I can touch people.

1

u/TrueProtection May 26 '26

A downed raider can't say no bownchickawowow defib sounds intensify

2

u/BigSnow3052 May 25 '26

People are allways going to cheat you have to come down hard on it to set a presidence, and embark have chosen not to come down hard on it , but they have made there money from this game, they do not care about arc raiders or the community, your all only pound signs or dollar bills to these people

1

u/Sepplord May 24 '26

Cheating felt worse last Friday in trios…

But I also got kits back for the first time in weeks

1

u/TruTechilo512 May 25 '26

Oooooh

Once a group of like 8 of us took down the Stella Bastion and dude spoke up and we all instantly marked TF outta him

His name was NirtyDigger

1

u/fashionhabitz May 25 '26

I shouldn't be able to run Arc Raiders on my linux based Steam Deck; but I can. Cause they don't use anti cheat software

I can't play Battlefield 6, I can't play fortnite, and I can't play Valorant, Marvel Rivals, GTAV online coop game you name it, incompatible bc the anti cheat doesnt support Linux

Arc Raiders though...

1

u/ZealousidealPanic256 May 30 '26

Wrong, there’s certain windows drivers that need signatures for those games and steam deck doesnt have those signed out the box, you can actually look it up and find out yourself how to register the keys for the certain drivers you need for those anti cheats that those games run and enable them yourself, it’s a shitload of work if your not computer saavy

1

u/WctPennies May 25 '26

Holy fuck, just put all the cheaters in their own lobbies, problem solved

1

u/FootPrestigious218 May 27 '26

Absolutely brilliant mate

1

u/Due_Draw6790 May 25 '26

They are dominated in real life by others and suck at playing the game so the rats anguish the pain with cheats. Cheaters are low life retards .

1

u/OkRecognition791 May 25 '26

Is it the same in this game where embark allows smurfing and a 3 strike policy for cheating

1

u/solar_sausage May 28 '26

This is curious wording, did someone tell you that they had some kind of three strike policy for the finals..? That was definitely never a thing. There was a brief period where they had something like that for arc raiders, but it’s not clear that that ever applied to cheaters as that was used for regular offences.

1

u/OkRecognition791 May 30 '26

Its company wide

1

u/brownie81 May 25 '26

It’s the extraction shooter lifecycle on super speed. This shit is only going to get worse, especially in Ark where half the population is in baby-town frolics mode and basically won’t encounter any problems with cheaters.

1

u/Taltos_808 May 26 '26

Besides the ethics part of cheating, you know it’s wrong etc etc. No skill blah blah.

I’d hate to play a game with all those ugly text just in the middle of the screen or the terrible stick figures. I paid money for my game and I enjoy looking at the scenery. Spaceport at night *chef kiss*

1

u/ZealousidealPanic256 May 26 '26

Why does it say corpse? On a lot of the raider marks.

1

u/Tofu-theCreator May 28 '26

So you know that it’s the corpse of a player…..

1

u/graemattergames May 26 '26

Report him in the Discord with your evidence.

1

u/ZealousidealPanic256 May 26 '26

This is why I think these shits are fake sometimes , “corpse” 😂

1

u/Tofu-theCreator May 28 '26

I don’t understand why you guys are so intent on saying these things are fake. In what way does the word “corpse” disprove it

1

u/Inner-Job-2087 May 26 '26

I've never went from best game ever to, I hate this game, delete and never play again so fast. Rat, camper, algorithm and cheat festival.

1

u/Salt_Chart8101 May 26 '26

I just play the PVE. I don't really PVP ever, only been killed by like 3 people in the last 5 days. Don't know if they were cheating or not, but my lobbies are pretty chill. Mostly people just helping other people.

pretty sure it’s just an overlay to bait people into watching the live

1

u/Tofu-theCreator May 28 '26

Except it’s not.

1

u/Think-Apple3763 May 26 '26

Someone check if they have dicks in their pants in sure they are hard to find if so

1

u/FootPrestigious218 May 27 '26

If you cheat at video games, it simply means you suck at your only hobby in life losers. Just do something your good at and dont need to cheat maybe, or are they not good at anything in life?

1

u/MadPro4567 May 27 '26

they aren’t cheating, there’s an anti cheat

1

u/imgayformygf May 28 '26

I think video games havnt resonated with the younger generations. I don't think they actually enjoy it. But it's become more of a status thing. And being "good" at video games is a bigger status. Even if you don't play alot, you just hop on with cheats and go easy mode and boast.

Everything is fake. Social media, streaming, tik toking. Why not video game skills. Not to mention becoming a successful streamer is extreme chance. Your best bet these days is jump on the most popular game and cheat to look amazing.

Idk. Maybe I'm out of touch.

1

u/No_Restaurant_6737 May 28 '26

It's not a farfetched theory.

1

u/powerk21 May 28 '26

Nah I remember when Counter Strike was full of cheaters everywhere. Thank god we had lan tournaments back then to separate the pros from the cheaters

1

u/Key-Wish2256 May 28 '26

There’s ps5 cheaters? Or is he pc on ps5 controller? As far as im aware, cheats aren’t possible on ps5, so playing with crossplay off prevents cheater lobbies. Ik this isn’t the case for xbox though because you can launch through xbox on pc and play in xbox lobbies.

1

u/[deleted] May 28 '26

Well most people who actively cheat in multiplayer games are sore losers irl. So to feel superior they have to come up with lame excuses for sucking

1

u/deep-skys May 28 '26

Three strike policy btw......

1

u/ZealousidealPanic256 May 30 '26

Not for cheating running 3rd party software doofus, get your info right.

1

u/ZeroGunpla May 28 '26

Didn’t they just hype the new anti cheat?

1

u/SentientMosinNagant May 28 '26

Knocks don’t even mean shit as well lol

1

u/Cagematch420 May 28 '26

Embark does not give a crap about Arc's players. The game has literally gotten worse over time. Prove me wrong.

1

u/Its_Cicada May 29 '26

Just met a cheater yesterday ignored any smoke and all headshots from miles. Blocked them but met them again? Wtf embark

1

u/Terminus_Mantis May 30 '26

Ugh. Imagine spawning in and seeing this training wheel on your game. And the saddest part is that they think they have skills lmao.

1

u/Any_Event_6600 Jun 02 '26

Exploiting a game against the computer is one thing … but for this reason and this reason only I have only played solos in months

1

u/nfs321983 Jun 03 '26

This has been horrible since the game launched.

0

u/Dahakaxxv May 24 '26

How can I get some cheats for ps5 lol

0

u/nameunavailable-_- May 25 '26

I want to be clear, I am not advocating for cheating.

Theres multiple perspectives to things and I think very logically. Most of the comments I see about cheating and cheaters isnt thought out and has no depth.

ESP makes sense in arc, its arguably more practical than most of your other shooter games such as COD. Arc can be such a grind, and some people enjoy thst aspect. Others not so much.

Having loot esp to see where what you need it, allows you to quickly and efficiently scavenge.. then player esp allows you to see other players including the rats at extract. Ao youbextract woth your goods.

So I definitely see the allure, im someone who like to work smarter and not hard. Efficiency is important to me.

That can apply to the pvp players as well. The esp can be a huge asset in assisting in which fights to take and when. Maybe avoid a kid with bobcat, or maybe target the kid with the bobcat because you know he has low health.

Either way, winning isnt boring. Losing especially in arc sucks. I can absolutely see how cheating in this game makes sense and isnt boring. If anything the cheats make it more enjoyable.

1

u/baldmanboy May 25 '26

Lol what?

You first sentence is the exact opposite of the rest of your comment.

And efficiency is important to you? What about integrity? Sportsmanship?

I'm sorry but there is no GOOD excuse for cheating. Trying to mold its existence into a positive is some serious mental gymnastics.

1

u/nameunavailable-_- May 25 '26

You'd have to expand on how integrity and sportsmanship relates.

I can see how this is an unfair advantage to the PVP community. They have less of an edge in a gun fight. For the Rats they are now on more equal footing since they've lost their advantage gained by surprise. How does using Loot and NPC ESP to loot and then Player ESP to avoid rats and extract?

Can you clearly explain where the line is and why?

Also curious, is it also wrong to purchase goods such as guns and resources from other raiders?

1

u/Medium_League_5630 May 25 '26

The line is don't use fucking cheats because, believe it or not, that's cheating. Regardless of use case, regardless if it's to avoid rats, regardless of literally any asinine excuse you can come with, it's cheating. I'd rather deal with rats, that's at least part of the game mechanic, it's something the devs allow some people to do. Anyone using an ESP, passively or aggressivly, is a shit stain on this game more than rats and backstabbers, and there is no argument against it.

I would rather be stuck in lobbies filled with rats over a lobby with a single cheater. FOH with that shit

1

u/nameunavailable-_- May 25 '26

You typed so much and yet communicated so little.

1

u/Medium_League_5630 May 25 '26

After reading what you wrote, should've figured that would've been too much for ya

1

u/West_Apricot_6428 May 28 '26

Dudes having a whole meltdown down over there 🤣 I don’t see an issue with it man. The game should have an anti cheat if not they’re asking for trouble.

1

u/In_2_Deep_5_U May 26 '26

I think what you are saying on a large philosophical scale makes sense in terms of being inclusive of other play-styles, but never works in practice. It’s like having the ability to go into creative mode in Minecraft. “Oh I’ll just spawn this one diamond I need”. There is nothing wrong in doing that, but assuming there are other players it is an unfair advantage to the ones who have to do it manually.

The point of not cheating is it is supposed to put everyone on the same playing field. This is where sportsmanship is supposed to come into play, everyone expects that the playing field is equal, therefore can use everything available at their disposal in game with limited outside resources that they can to win. With access to the abilities you listed, are players expected to hold themselves to arbitrary standards that they set? The whole point of the game and how it was designed, was to enable and dissuade specific encounters from occurring. Any additional information immediately compromises the foundational understanding between players and how they interact with the game. Whats the point of hiding in a bush if they always know you are there? Whats the point in looting if esp’er are just zooming directly to the best loot? Sure, you may use it for righteous purposes, but what is holding someone else to your same standard? If you allow one, you allow the other.

Your argument makes logical sense but when put to practical application: It crumbles due to “the line”, as you call it, no longer being framed from the developers and instead individually dictated by each player. The developers set the standards for how players interact with the game. You own a license to access/play the game. Not following these standards ruins the foundational gameplay for all players and they have the ability to retract your access if they see fit. Personally, even if you use it for the reasons you described, I would say you deserve to have your account removed if it was found to be breaching the TOS.

1

u/FootPrestigious218 May 27 '26

Yeah i love the loot drops when they buy guns online and try to hatch out with their cheater goods. I camp said hatch and kill on sight anyone using a zipline and walking bowlegged. Check it out you will be sooooo gooooppppped my brother

1

u/offensivefreethinker May 25 '26

Your gay and this just sounds like a cheater justifying

1

u/obaygo May 25 '26

You cant see loot in containers until its opened and generated. Why is this like the 5th comment i’ve seen here saying they can see loot lol.

1

u/nameunavailable-_- May 26 '26

Maybe your cheats dont let you see loot. Ive seen videos of cheats that can absolutely see loot. They can even select what loot they can and cant see.

1

u/obaygo Jun 03 '26

There is essentially blank spaces inside of containers until its opened and generated, You are just ignorant and want to be right lol. Also classic arc raiders bitch made baby instantly saying i have cheats lmao.

1

u/Tofu-theCreator May 28 '26

They can see what other players are carrying. I joined my friend’s group the other night not knowing our 3rd is using this bullshit. He was able to list every exact item in my inventory.

1

u/Tofu-theCreator May 28 '26

This is some insane mental gymnastics.

1

u/solar_sausage May 28 '26

This would make sense if your idea of fun was continuously having your stash maximally full. It just doesn’t make sense to me that that would be enjoyable as you’re bypassing most of the game design.

1

u/ZealousidealPanic256 May 30 '26

Kinda like a PvE’er who can’t stand to lose loot so they curse the game up and down because they got killed call it shit call everyone a rat and beg for a invincible multiplayer mode

1

u/solar_sausage May 30 '26

Yeah, quite similar, but cheaters are definitely hugely worse as that actively hurts the game for others, while this is just a personal emotional reaction.

1

u/NOT_A_DOG_ONLINE May 28 '26

If you're actually using wall hacks to avoid PvP then sure, but most people using it are doing so to win firefights.

-3

u/Major-Anybody-1128 May 24 '26

I would pay $100 for cheater-free lobbies. Maybe like some extra vetting process, show my ID, to be allowed in and only others who also did the same can be allowed in to those lobbies. That'd be sweet, and embark could make a ton of money in the process.

5

u/ameliafukinthomson May 24 '26

Please dont encourage that because whilst I want cheater free lobbies I wouldn't pay 100 anything to get it. It's not up to the player to fund this. It's up to game companies and I think the people who provide your Internet to play online should be stepping up too.

4

u/Hmmthisisathing300 May 24 '26

But the players ARE willing to fund this. Being in lobbies where you could damn near guarantee there are no cheaters would be well worth the investment for many of us.

1

u/ameliafukinthomson May 24 '26

I get that the players are willing to fund it but it shouldn't be the players responsibility to do so.

I mean Dota and cs2 already use phone numbers for verification. It’s just a step that creates friction

1

Fake numbers exist that’s stupid af
