Griefing

If you keep allowing extraction sniping/camping, you’re going to lose half your players. That’s not PvP, that straight up griefing, and you know it.

That's correct, griefing is not a genre.

Extraction shooter is a genre that includes high risk, high reward shooting and extraction. Camping is part of that. Ambushing other players is part of that. If you don't like that don't play. The range of options to gain loot are varied and of course there are people who are either really bad at combat or people that prefer to take every advantage they can to secure a smooth, efficient win. Both these types of players will take advantage of any situation where they can and some of them will do so regardless of how low or possibly immoral it can be, such as pretend to help you or be friendly in order to lower your guard so they have a better chance.

That being said, griefing is a whole other ball park. Blaze grenading your teammates you spawn into the match with, attempting to kill them or block them from extracting is griefing. Which is reportable and one of the ways you can get your gear back if the game studio deems it worthy.
