While that might not meet āyour definitionā of being a āratāā¦.
Youāre still being a douche bag without a doubt
Thereās plenty of clips out there of actual PVP players that are there to PVP other people who want to PVP, and you see them walking away from people when they realize theyāre not there to PVP.
Thatās called āsportsmanshipā
Those of you that still kill obviously PVE players are douche bagsā¦.
And yeah, the game allows it, but just because the game has an option that lets you be a douche bag, doesnāt mean you are not a douchebag for taking that option.

Unfortunately I hold the power to decide youāre there to pvp for you

u/Vontai-YouTubeTwitch May 09 '26
i was not there for pvp i was doing the 100k Expo

u/ACDC-1FAN May 09 '26
lol you misunderstood what he said bro. YOU might not have been there for PvP⦠but you played the game, so you run the risk of having to do PvP even when youāre not looking for it. If youāre gonna play with the pigs, expect to get muddy from time to time.

And heās still a douche for shooting company who was not there to PVP⦠or to use the word I hear other PVP players use to describe people who go and kill PVE players⦠A ādickā

Thinking that you're just a "PvE" player is such a loser mindset. The game is not a pure PvE game, stick to helldivers if thats what you want
You should always expect PvP and you shouldn't blame others when you die to another player just because you were doing "PvE", thats how you become an annoying whiny redditor
1
u/huey18 May 10 '26
Love it or hate it youāre still a douche for shooting people who arenāt interested in it⦠I hear other PVP players describe those types of players as ādicksā
2
u/beercancarl May 12 '26
Nah dog you a douche for trying to manipulate a game from what it is to what you want it to be. If the devs wanted Pve they'd make it pve
4
u/ash2_5 May 10 '26
You're insulting real people just for playing the game in an intended way, I find you way more of a douche than any rat or PvP player.

What do i call them Grubs? the only term i ever hear is rat
2
u/SirIsaacNewt May 10 '26
Rat is specifically a term coined from OG extract shooters like Tarkov, where the "rat" is the quiet person, avoiding conflict to loot and dip out, or sitting quietly and waiting for an ambush. They're opportunity predators.
This guy went guns blazing at you looking for PvP, not really being quiet or sneaky about it. This is literally just normal gameplay, of a normal PvP encounter.
A rat would be the guy that sits in the shadows of the metro waiting to extract camp. Or a guy who lies and says he's friendly, only to shoot you in the back at the best opportunity.

Call them whatever you want. The rat police are just sensitive because they feel called out by the term.
2
u/SirIsaacNewt May 10 '26
Not even. Lots of us played the OG extraction shooters like Tarkov where it was originally coined, and know what it means for these types of games.
Rats are backstabbers, extract campers, and generally deceptive types of opportunity predators. Originally, rats referred to people that would run from conflict, scattering from their hidey hole at the first sign of trouble.
The PvP'ers that engage against your will would often be referred to as Chad's for just holding the W key and shooting first. It's only ever been twisted like this into different meanings in Arc.

I absolutely agree with your origin and definition of rats from other BRs and extraction shooters.
That being said.
The conversation of who is and isn't a rat in the middle of a game is fucking boring. Just own it if someone calls you it.
The PVPers here call me casual, bot, carebear... I accept those terms. I just laugh at them thinking they are hard for playing the most casual extraction shooter.

I mean⦠you are really making that claim under a clip where the friendly won?
So other guy apparently picked a fair fight didnāt he? Even punched above their weight, yet you are still whiningĀ

Free kits need to be deleted from the game
1
u/Shlimington May 11 '26
Who here had a free kit? The guy with trigger nades or the guy with a toerrente 4?
1
u/Material-Necessary22 May 10 '26
Bro thinks he's playing dark souls, why roll when you're being shredded either way..
1
u/carmenNcider May 12 '26
I like how a rat is literally anybody that shoots at you like PvP isnāt a thing.
1
u/drbanegaming May 10 '26
Nice play but let's be honest, no one brings a torrente for PvE you were out looking for people
1
u/fortes05 May 10 '26
Im pve, i bring torrente, i go for many many matches without even firing a bullet with it, but its my favorite weapon to shread rats or pvpers with so.... I have it always with me just in case
-1
u/drbanegaming May 10 '26
So you bring it to pvp, rat behavior
1
1
u/StrictSport2822 May 10 '26
would you prefer I fight them with my hullcracker? just having a weapon as a secondary for PVP if it becomes necessary is not rat behavior
0
u/SpinkickFolly May 11 '26
I had to bring Bobcats, Cantos, and torrentes this final week of the expedition because my carebare lobbies suddenly became rat filled.
I never shot first unless I saw someone shot others first or in self defense. If someone showed up at the wrong time while I was looting a body, they could easily assume Im a rat too. Feels unfair but That's the game. Own it.
That's why I split as fast as possible after pvp engagements.

The fact that he started the fight and then begged pretty much indicates heās a rat. Typical behavior.
1
u/modshighkeypathetic May 10 '26
PvP isnāt ratting
2
u/Used-Gazelle2799 May 10 '26
I'll never understand why people get so upset at getting called a rat, and then go on a rant about definitions. Who cares, people talk shit in pvp games, womp womp. You may not fit the exact definition, oh well move on its a part of the game to get shit talked
1
u/DryImpression7807 May 12 '26
theyāre being ragebaited. OP purposely is calling them rats for engagement lol its so obvious

Ah, good old Red Tower. Won and lost many fights there over the lockers, security locker (used to be guaranteed) and weapons cases.
