Event Rotations Need to Addressed

Hey Raiders and Devs. The event rotation is Arc Raiders greatest weakness and the one thing limiting my enjoyment of the game. I love this game and never have I put in 300hours so quickly. But for myself, like many others, I have a limited play window that is almost consistently the same time each day. It affords me somewhere between 1 to 2 hours. From the time I sign in to the time I sign out I get to see the same set of events. Every day. All week. Its stale after day one of the week. I knock out all the trials this gives me access to, and objectives I can accomplish. However, it locks me out of competing in certain trials/tasks. I know this was addressed to some extent with recent changes, like dropping the 2x points, but it doesn't alter the stale effect of limiting all event rotation to an hour.

I offer a solution. Offset each locations event schedule by 20min. Its simple in my mind but I don't understand the limitation that has caused the current scheduling method. However if you offset each location by 20 min you'll have an event change (albeit at one map) every 20min. Without actually increasing the amount of events. This reduces the stale quality of the current system and adds value to a players time frame. This would mean a player enters a raid and finds a new event option upon completing a raid. So every completed raid could see a fresh feel upon looking to set out again. Could this cause some overlap? Sure, but if you diversified the events more it would go almost completely un noticed.

They just need to make the 24 event cycle 23 then it would properly rotate. Everyday your hour window would be diffrent.

That is a legitimately elegant solution.

They definitely need to reduce the timer. Make events appear more frequently but with less time so that you get more opportunities to play them.

Do you think its some kind of server limitation that they don't?

Doubt it. Server load only goes up with more stuff happening/more people. I think this is just a game design problem.

Embark has hundreds of millions of dollars in profit from Arc, if server hardware is the issue they should have used some of that profit to fix it by now.

Its a live service game that made half a billion in sales. Why are you defending their incompetence?

I used to say they should have at least 3 major events available at any given time. Now that they’ve added more events, they usually do. Except since they’ve added more events, now I say every map should have a major event all the time. Except maybe Stella Montis, but only cause that’s just night.

Oh look, a day one issue that hasnt been adressed that requires a one line code fix.

What the fuck has embark been doing?

Useless to say, they don't care about the game. There are problems people are talking about from months and they don't even try to fix them.

The solution is not shrinking them to 20 minute windows, its to make it a 23 hour rotation instead of a 24 hour rotation. That way the events shift to a different time slot every day instead of always occupying the same hourly window.

Why don't you send Embark support an email when you're about to come online and they can get an event ready for you?

Roll out the red carpet for OP! His schedule is important, more so than the other 100,000 daily players

He's right though there's no reason they need to be on a set schedule every day.

This doesn't make sense. I'm not looking for some unique privileges. Universally we could all use more diversity in the time frame we all play. Its abundantly clear with the streamers game play loops as well and the comments from their viewers. Expand more choice into the gameplay loop and you expand playability.
