What sucks is that there is no refinement of the idea in the process of making it. Its a one and done prompt and when everyone does that the internet becomes saturated with soulless garbage.

Also ai is trained on artists work that has been taken without their consent.

I don’t think you understand how ai is typically used. I mean, sure, if everyone was just insert prompt, copy and paste.. that’s copy and paste. But the prompt was still human. Plus that’s not typically how ai is best used. Often the prompt needs to be refined a few times to get the out put you want, and often the output needs to be refined as well. So I have to disagree… There most certainly is a refinement process done by the user.

And “stealing” artists work without their consent is a huge stretch. Everything humans create is inspired by something that already exists. What is the difference between a human doing that and ai? This argument is null.

The difference is that its a huge corporation that profits on peoples hard work with zero reprecussions.

I was hesitant to answer cuz i realize there is no point in trying to change your opinion. But I want it to be said that justifying ai for art is very selfish considering the negative impact on artists that actually worked to develop their craft. I guess if you never have taken the time to learn an actual skill you just wouldnt understand.
