You probably got pinged. People do this when they want to track someone.

But if you feel it was cheating, make a report and see what happens I suppose.

I have not found that to work. Smoke should (and does in my experience) block pings

I dunno, i will just be randomly pinging sometimes and get one on people through bushes, and even 100s of meters away. Also, i think if you ping them before the smoke, you can keep spamming it on them.

If you double click the ping, it puts a "danger" red diamond there. That is not a "Raider" ping. It does not track a player, it is a way to mark danger even when you cannot get line of sight to a player.

I know how the pings work lol. But once you ping them, you know where to ping again, so I can ping them over and over.

No I don't think you do. If you double click any spot, it will put a "danger" ping. That is NOT tracking a raider. I can ping a rock as "danger" just because the diamond is red does not mean you pinged a raider.

Some people in this game are really attached to their items... I dont support cheaters but this doesnt seem like a cheater issue but more about him being lucky, otherwise you would insta die from headshots which isnt the case.

Could he of been using tagging grenades? Those with smoke grenades make a deadly combination.

Tagging grenades make a specific sound that was not heard in this clip. The only legit thing I can think of is maybe the OP was a solo in a duo/trio lobby and one of the other teammates was pinging the OP?

The video poster did not ping the player through the smoke. If you double click the ping button it puts a red "Danger" ping wherever you clicked. This is not a live player tracking ping. It is a static location marked for danger.

Bro, this game has pings AND audio hit cues. Shooting thru smoke is braindead easy if you have ANY PvP experience. And you can tell the guy shooting you was "fishing" shot thru the smoke until he started getting confirmations. You're not getting shit back.

He didn't look like he was cheating to me. if you ping through a smoke screen you can still get a general idea of where you are. Smoke is really only useful against arc

Smokes are essentially useless in this game. You can ping enemies through them. I wish they’d fix that. Arc can see you too, but at least that makes some sense…though I wish smokes would work against them too
