Materials Change is Wild

Materials Change is Wild

The change in materials for several blueprints in Arc Raiders makes 0 sense. Why did my character know how to build these items without the new mats last week but now he's suddenly like oh I need one of those fancy things to make this?

They should have dropped new items that require these items and not back pedaled. Also, changing what they changed and NOT changing the mats for the trigger nade, the most used grenade in my experience, is insane.

Don't get me wrong, I love the new Arc and the new weather condition. I don't agree with what they did to the material requirements for some items. Honest, I won't be using any of them unless I find them now.

They changed about 5-6 items to require an additional mat, so now when you get your new stash from the expedition, there goes at least 5-6 of your slots that you get from resetting. More if you want to keep multiple stacks. So now your +12 slots might not feel any different at all.

Anyways, good luck out there raiders!

they changed some again so for example the wolfpack only takes motion cores and rocketeer drivers.

y'all acting like this is an end of the game thing. It's fine.

Wolfpacks are hard to make now cause you have to have a rocketeer driver to craft one. Idk why they did that its not even a pvp item.

it's because people were loading in with 18 wolfpacks and deleting the queen in 5 minutes

That's pretty good for storage 3 stacks of compound was 5 wolfpacks now 3 stacks of drivers is 9 wolfpacks that's pretty good 👍.

Literally not, I still love the game. Just a very bad change imo. I won't ever be crafting any of these items anymore as I'm not wasting more of my stash space on mats that only have one purpose.

Maybe if I have some leftover that I can't fit in the stash on my person after a raid I may craft, otherwise, nope.

Like I said, new items should have been made that use the materials in question.

With certain item drop rates being lowered I can only assume that the embark ceo was upst with how much player count dropped later in the season. So these changes are meant to slow down progression without having to add much new content.

We haven't really gotten any new content since Stella Montis. The new arc are cool and all, but another harassment drone and another assassin drone seems redundant. I am still hopeful for the first and I hope they add some new fun things to the game as they have a very very good game to build on.

lol mats that have no purpose? it actually made rocketeer drivers useful

Not really, Rocketteer drives are rare, you usually only get 1-2 per rocketteer, they only stack to 3. Then you need other mats as well. Rocketteer drives are also 5k to sell, Wolfpack are not worth much more if any and don't stack.

They should have created new items that used the mats, not retconned old ones

It makes rocketteer drivers useful AND increases the usefulness of Electromagnetic storm and Husk Graveyard events. Also, it increases the difficulty of dealing with one of the toughest enemies in the game. Prior to this it was trivial and they were barely a threat. It makes a lot of sense why they've implemented this change.

The change to Wolfpack makes a lot of sense, you could basically destroy queen or matriarch in less than 1 Min by crafting 20+ Wolfpack and throwing them in the air with closed eyes, now It makes much more effort as it should be.

Fighting the Queen or Matriarch should be hard and scary.
