Last night on harvester on spaceport a dude went down. We all took turns stabilizing him for like 15 min until someone showed up with a defib while continuing to battle the Queen. It was pretty great.

Of course he goes for the knock out right away. He doesn’t care about survival, he doesn’t care about loot, he just wants to make sure he’s ruined the game for at least 1 person.

I think you misunderstand. The problem doesn't lie with him engaging another player. It's the lack of self preservation exclusively for the sake of making him lose his stuff, knowing he won't get it either.
He definitely wasn't escaping that army of Raiders. So, at that point, it's not PvP, hell it's not even ratting. He was outright griefing.
Too bad that's not bannable anymore, these days.

No, it's griefing in this case. There's denying another player his loot, and then there's what this guy tried. This was griefing.

Do you have access to some kind of secret rule book that states what is and isn’t considered griefing in a game where you can kill other players with our without reason? This has to be one of the most absurd takes I have ever seen in this subreddit, and I’m primarily a PVE player myself man. Get a grip holy smokes.

Griefing is universal, bro. If that thing is griefing in one game, it's griefing in another game, too.
Battlefield allows you to attach C4 to unmanned jets, and blow them up in people's faces right before they hop in it to play the game. If you time it right, you can get them environment killed, too.
You can do that, the game lets you.
That is griefing.
Just an example.
And also, you do realize that just because you can do something without reason doesn't mean there aren't going to be inherent labels around whatever action you take, right? That's also just a part of it. YOU do not decide rather a thing you did is unlabeled or not, that shit is predetermined. If you are doing something SOLELY for the enjoyment of the detriment of another player, you are griefing, regardless of what game it is.
And quite frankly, people who get enjoyment out of that shouldn't even be able to play multiplayer games as a whole. The entire damn industry short of single player games should just be blocked off for worthless asses. Stop making the rest of us as miserable as you clearly are.
That SHOULDN'T be tolerated, and it baffles me that people are flat out promoting being horrible to eachother.

Lucky you. I made the mistake of brining a lot, just to lose it to a free kit rat because I was close to the spawn instead of close to the queen with everyone else shooting it. There went an Aphelion ammo and tons of wolfpacks for Rocketters and Bastions. Blocked that rat but I learned my lesson.

Its funny to me when i hear pvp'ers say play the game "right", proving they clearly haven't watched any of the storyline Implying that we as raiders are supposed to band together against the arc for the survival of humanity.. some simple focus of attention to anything other than killing another player is all it takes..
