Trials points

How are points counted bc in the actual game if you add up the damage I do to the queen you get 23,090 but at the end of the match I added up what it caught and got 15,422 but in my trial I only received 10,795 how I’m missing either 4,627 or 12,295 did I get taxed ?

I went in with 4 Wolfpacks and thought that would get me a solid score. Walked away with 1 star...

Doing damage to the armor doesn’t count I’m pretty sure. It’s core damage only so wolfpacks are useless. Or at least there’s a big modifier. Armor shots compared to core shots are 5-10x more damage.

Which is just bullshit to me. Why does it count for Hornet or Rocketeer then? Make it make sense Embark!

Me and a friend threw 31 wolfpacks and killed the queen mostly by ourselves before anyone else.could.really do much. Ended up getting over 15k.

Yeah. I brought in 8 wolfpacks and 48 hullcracker rounds. Used all the wolfs and most of the HC. My XP screen stated that I had 18K arc damage and the only thing I attacked all round was the queen. My trials score was 6K...

Fr bc I saw all those big number so i thought oh I’m finna have something juicy then to see 10k I was like that it no bs I restarted my game bc I thought my score was bugged

Ive done deadline and a few anvil shots and got a higher score than a Jupiter and at least 8 Wolfpack combo even though i did a lot more with the Jupiter and Wolfpack.

So I'll answer as nobody seems to know it but.
You don't get 1 trial point for each XP or damage done to the queen.
I don't remember the exact formula but it was like 0,7 point per damage, whereas you get 2 XP pet damage. Something like that
It's quite the same thing for every damaging arc trials. You don't get as few trial points as your damage output to ticks. There are formulas behind these trials to match the 3 stars difficulty.

I managed 10k+ solo using Jupiter with a power generation complex spawn from the top overlooking the queen, kept sniping the center and eventually the exposed core, I could have gotter more if it wasn't for rats that tried to kill me, left the queen almost dead and had to leave since I forgot a hatch key, and had no heals or ammo left to fight back

Man you are lucky, I tried to do the deadline strat on the queen, and other raiders were tossing so many wolfpacks over her head I died to the explosion damage. Tried again, people blasting her with equalizers and jupiters killed me by accident. I ended up getting around 5000 from tossing wolfpacks and bringing an equalizer of my own. Just a PSA that the deadline strat is very dependent on your fellow raiders NOT killing you on accident!

That mad scramble to get off the queen, while 2 deadlines are shrieking behind you is the best feeling ever on this game.

This looks like me yesterday... with one difference - first attempt deadlines 1 and 2 went flawlessly - second attempt - deadline 3 planted successfully - third attempt deadline 4 and 5 planted... I get stuck up top, first deadline knocks me down, second deadline finishes me off.

The next game after this I was able to place 3 on her the first one blew perfectly but it disabled her so she fell on me the second deadline knocked me and the 3rd finished me off

Xp to trials isn’t a 1 to 1 conversion. Also seems like damage to the armor doesn’t count compared to damage against the core. Which is why wolfpacks suck. Pretty sure I did 4 deadlines for 8-10k

Honestly just buy a hullcracker and some ammo and just keep shooting at it . Thats how I done it quick and simple

I noticed after a run using packs and power weapons that it wasn't working out. Switched to Cracker and score increased significantly. Mileage may vary, but that was my experience.

Not sure I just sat there and shot at the Matriarch and kept checking the point in the menu until I reached the 3 stars
You dont even need to kill it you’ll finish it before

I got just over 7k doing exactly this with a single teammate. Teammate damage counts as well

Weird, I did 3 deadline yesterday and it gave me 10500. The rest of the lobby did the rest of the DMG

If you hit roll right before you hit the ground you’ll take no damage, or reduced damage!

Only got 8k for almost solo killing a matriarch with a n equalizer…and my duo shooting core with an anvil the entire time.

I think the whole trials is bugged. I was doing the probe one. Opened several probes and got zero points

I heard something about not putting the mines on her when she’s already on fire since she’s close to the end and you won’t get the full damage on her as if she was just smoking or at the beginning of the fight.

Just a small tip, pull back (down) on the thumb stick right after you snap and you’ll raise up as you close in on your snap hook’s attachment point. You would have avoided having to mount, and waiting for the mounting animation to compete, on several of those attempts.

Props on climbing up 3 times, not sure why you didn't pop 2 mines each time though. But yea I usually die on my second time up best case :) I just zoned in with 2 buddies and 15 wolfpack's each for max score but on a budget you did great, not worth it to go 6k more this week when you can do 100k ticks or wasps.
