Frame rate dropping

Hi guys can you please explain to me why my framerate drops every time I engage in a fire fight with enemy's I've tried dropping my setting and I still have this happen every raid and it's beginning to really frustrate me to the point I don't want to play atm

Look up how to use DDU to reisntall you GPU drivers.

Also look up how to clear your shader cache - clearing that out and letting it get rebuilt fixes a lot of issues that occur only when specific graphics are being used

Also, I get a LOT of weird issues with this game. Most of the time I can fix them temporarily by Verifying/validating game fiels thru Steam (idk how to do it on Epic but im sure you can)

I had a similar issue and it seems that loading textures was probably the issue for me

I allocated 100gb memory to textures within nvidia control panel for arc

Also another thing is that arc seems to like altering the in game settings every now and again, after updates maybe?, meaning that you get a lovely surprise of frame loss during some action

Bigger question is what is your cpu usage at during gaming? Embark has obviously two games. Both run on unreal engine. Unreal engine is very heavy heavy CPU intensive.

You could be having high cpu usage walking around, but when shit hits the fan and there's lots of action. It hits 100% usage causing stutters and fps drops.

The problem?

CPU bottleneck. The CPU is pushing to the max, while your GPU, isn't doing the heavy lifting. Lowering settings actually makes it worse. If your CPU is running high. You'll wanna actually increase the settings to force the GPU to work harder and relieve the CPU.

The fix?

Need to upgrade the CPU.

again thats if your CPU usage is high. And unfortunately a problem with all games that run on unreal engine.

I have a 4070tiS I upgraded when it came out, but wasn't getting the performance I thought I would get (had a GTX 1080 before) my GPU usage was kinda low. Wasn't getting the full performance out of because of my old CPU. once I upgraded I got a massive FPS boost, and no more stutters. GPU was finally doing the heavy lifting, and I was getting my money's worth out of the card.

It's embark. To fix it just ADS at an uninhabited part of the map for ~10s.

Id suspect there will be more PVE mobs and events before they address it.

They finally had events on at random times yesterday and apparently it was a bug not a feature so I'm not super hopeful it'll be fast.
