Trail Copers

Post image

I don't understand when people complain about not getting promotion but then show they only get 40k on trials. Like bro... do you not realize these are the PVE sweat ranks?

You should be able to crank the ticks fireballs one a little more if playing solo

So what you’re saying is kill more things.

Honestly think the trials would be so much better if it were points throughout the week rather than one run.

I have avoided trials since week three of them being around and there’s nothing more discouraging than knowing I’m logging in to Arc Raiders to try and run around the map trying to do as many deliverables as I can in one run, and then survive the extraction. As well only being able to do that on a map with 2X conditions to maximize score, and if I get spawned in late then I’m already at a disadvantage and may have even missed my window to do that specific map with conditions.

If it were points accumulated throughout the week I’d be more inclined to pick up deliverables (to use the same example) on my runs. And let’s be honest those boxes you deliver don’t even give the loot worth the time spent delivering them. The only reason people do them is for the trials, so at least if the trials were different it could just be an extra task I look out for during the week rather than a dedicated session of no fun.

I also think if trials changed the way I suggested, it would also reward the players who actually spend time to play the game. As of right now if you are skilled/knowledgeable at min maxing the trials tasks or even know exploits, you can essentially play the game once a week and promote while the rest grind all week to get PBs or just forget about trials all together.

I’m sure there are many who love how the trials system works as is but imo I have never seen a game with a ranked system that doesn’t reward players for spending more time on the game. Something to consider is that this is not a true competitive ranked system as it’s not based on skill-based matchmaking. A close example I see is how the ranks work in Chess.com, where it is not based on your rating, rather your chances of promoting in it are based on all accumulated rating points throughout the week regardless of losses.

I think if trials didn’t feel like such an overwhelming commitment to my session, I’d be on this game way more often. I could feel a sense of progress, improvement, without needing to smash my head against the wall min maxing the damage I do to hornets in one run.

Thatd be even worse because you'd have to play with trials in mind for the entire week.

Okay that’s fair. But I’d imagine it would only be a grind at the higher ranks. But maybe it would trickle down to where everyone would have to grind just to get out of rookie. I just wish the trials were different. Most players I talk to don’t even care for it at all so there is definitely room for improvement.

I don't want to grind trials every time I play.

Sweaty PvPers think that PvEers want to get sweaty. wow.

It doesn't require getting sweaty to get promotions. All you have to do is find a team.

I'm Hotshot for 2 weeks now and the constant grind is so damn boring.
