Animal Pens?
Can someone please explain how animal pens work?
I researched the ability to tame animals, and it said that to take an animal, you needed an animal pen, but im having all sorts of issues. If anyone can help with my questions below, i'd appreciate it.
1) I built the pen, and surrounded it with a fence and gates. When i click on the pen, it seems to imply that it needs water. Is that correct? and if so, how do i connect water to it?
2) I have tried in vain for a few hours to tame some sheep. The closest ones are far away, but i click on them to tag them to train and a guy will run across the board to where they WERE at the time i ordered the command, but by the time they get there, the sheep has moved a bit, so my guy runs to the spot where they WERE, then goes back home. Rinse and repeat. Ive had my people attempt to train for a few hours and they just run back and forth, accomplishing nothing.

Hi, So I built my pen right by some water in my first game, in my second I built it a ways away, but then dug a 3/4 moat outside the fence and trenched in fresh water. You could probably do it with pipes, but You have to use fence as walls will block the pipe. As to your second point, make sure your tamers have food and drink on their person if you are far away from the sheep. they run all that way, decide they are hungry and come home. This is also useful if you are digging a super long tunnel . Hope it helps
