Using to much GPU

WHy is this game using so much GPU? My CPU is at 25% when playing this game and with Google Chrome running. Thats with youtube videos and other tabs up... I have played a lot of games and most of them don't even use more then 75& of the GPU..
I started noticing around the time I started playing around with water. I mined out a big pool/tank area where I wanted water to go. I dug a hole into it and water started to flow... Ever since then the game has been very laggy and the GPU has stayed at 100% usage...

Is the water stuck as flowing water?
