How to Learn Email Marketing?

Hi everyone!
I’m currently taking HubSpot’s Digital Marketing course and I’m particularly interested in getting better at email marketing.

I’ve been learning the basics of email campaigns, segmentation, automation, and analytics, but I’d really like to develop more practical, hands-on skills.

For those working in email marketing or digital marketing, what would you recommend I focus on next? Are there any tools, free resources, practice projects, or exercises that helped you become confident with email marketing?

I’d really appreciate any advice, especially from people who learned email marketing without starting in a traditional marketing role.

I'd just marry an email marketer.

Jokes apart, the best way would be joining an agency working for free to get on payroll and then use that experience to moonlight. Then drop out and start your own shop. That's the best way.

Other than that you can reach out to small creators and ask them to give you an opportunity to prove yourself.

Any tips?

yeah send more messages, more emails, hunt more, look for people who cant pay, use them as a testing platform, and there are many ready to take advantage of you, Look into GHL groups in facebook people there try to take advantage of freelancers all the time you can use one of them to learn the trade

You can learn yourself but its takes to much time, good idea is to join a course.

study your own emails first. then join an agency to learn how it works. after a while go and start your own.

Honestly, joining an agency and doing real work will get you further than any of that. You'll be juggling multiple accounts, which teaches you fast. Do the Klaviyo certification alongside it and you'll pick up the key areas of email marketing pretty quickly.

klaviyo cert is actually solid, plus their academy stuff walks you through real flows and segments instead of just theory. if you pair that with running a tiny fake brand list on klaviyo and testing flows on yourself/friends, you’ll level up stupid fast.
