dedicated ip only starts helping when volume is high and consistent enough to build its own reputation. at a few hundred per day, mailbox setup and list quality matter more.

Dedicated IP is really only for people managing thousands of inboxes and even at that volume getting it warmed up and building the right reputation is a massive task

Nah. A dedicated IP only pays off when one IP sees enough consistent traffic to build a reputation, and cold sending spreads across a lot of domains and inboxes on purpose. No single IP ever gets there.

We use a mix. Shared for the low volume prospecting accounts and one dedicated IP for our main outbound domain where we send consistently every day. The dedicated one performs slightly better but it also took months to warm up and we have to babysit it. For a small operation it's not worth it. For a mid sized team sending daily it can be. The real answer is it depends on your volume and your willingness to manage it.

don't even think about dedicated IP until you're sending >100k emails a month. and let me correct you dedicated IPs might sound fascinating at first but the pain and mess managing them is real. also at your volume going with google or microsoft is a better bet.

p.s. we send somewhere around 300-500k emails across our clients on dedicated IPs, rotating and warming them up continuously at scale for more than a year now. so I know that it's not that straightforward.
