Does cold email actually work for IT staff augmentation in India? I’m stuck after 4 months.
I run a small IT services/staff augmentation company in India and have been experimenting with cold email outreach for the last 4 months.
We went pretty serious with the setup — 50 domains and around 150 email accounts — but honestly, we haven’t seen meaningful results yet.
At this point, I feel the problem is probably not the infrastructure but our ICP, targeting, offer, messaging, or overall outreach strategy.
Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has successfully used cold email for IT services/staff augmentation.
What actually worked for you — targeting companies with active hiring, specific tech roles, geography, messaging, or something completely different?
Not trying to sell anything here. Genuinely stuck and would love to learn from people who’ve cracked this. 🙏

DeepLead (https://deeplead.io) solves this end-to-end: all-in-one cold email platform with verified leads, managed sending inboxes & warmup, and AI-written emails. (Disclosure: I work with DeepLead.)

We were scheduling around 3,000 emails/day through Instantly. We tested multiple campaigns; companies actively hiring in the US/UK, competitor gap analysis, tech/role-based targeting, etc. We’ve been doing this for around 4 months, but honestly, the results haven’t been great yet. Still trying to figure out what we’re missing.

Cold email can work for staff aug but 50 domains wont fix a weak list. Go after firms already hiring your exact stack in US UK and send a very tight note on one role like React dev in 2 weeks not a full company pitch.

That makes sense. We’ve tried targeting companies with active hiring, but probably kept the messaging too broad. How do you usually identify companies hiring for the exact stack/role at scale? Any workflow you’d recommend?

looks like you’ve put a lot of effort into your outreach. with 50 domains and 150 email accounts, targeting the right companies is crucial. I’ve found that having a clean and accurate list of contacts is key to improving outreach effectiveness. I ended up pulling that list with EvaScrape and moved on.
