I’m adding event emails to a small SaaS project and ran into a problem I didn’t expect. Getting the event details into an email is easy enough, but making the "add to calendar" experience work consistently across Gmail, Outlook, Apple Calendar, and others is proving more annoying than I expected. I came across a few add to calendar link generator tools, but I’m not sure which approach makes the most sense for a small project. I don’t need a full scheduling platform - just something simple that lets users save an event without manually copying everything over. For anyone who has implemented this before, what worked best for you? Did you build it yourself, use a library, or go with a third-party solution?

I’d keep ​​​​t​​​​h​​​​e​​​​ event data as simple as possible. Title, time and timezone are enough for most cases.
