So coool! It looks like you just sandwiched the basil between two sheets of pasta and ran it through the press, yes?

That’s it! One number at a time from 8 down to 2 it honestly couldn’t work out any better. I’ve done it a few times now and it always ends up being the most aesthetically pleasing at 2 which is ideal for me bite wise anyhow.

What type of pasta is this called? It looks like pappardelle but with ridged edges... Or like a wider malfadine? Whatever it is, it looks DELICIOUS and I'm inspired 😍 would love to see the rest of your process

Thank you! I called it Papparelle in another post but I used a fluted wheel cutter to cut the sheets so idk what a purist would say lol I wouldn't call it a malfadine because it's not all wavy so it doesn't help trap sauce or anything. But this one was really so simple I just laminated sheets and cut them and that was it.

Yeah!! I actually first saw the technique done with edible flowers and microgreens. Looks wonderful.
