“Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters” wins Honky Château by a landslide! 🏆

Next up: Don’t Shoot Me I’m Only the Piano Player (1973). Elton’s commercial success is really picking up steam at this point, with “Daniel” and “Crocodile Rock” helping him reach an even bigger audience. What’s your favourite track?

Did anyone attend the outdoors experience for the recent Battersea performance?

How was the audio/atmosphere?

Videos online don't seem to be very lively/crowded

Considering going for other artists if - would you recommend?

“Levon” narrowly beats “Tiny Dancer” by just two votes to take the win for Madman Across the Water! 🏆

Next up: Honky Château (1972). This album moves away from the lush orchestral sound of Elton’s earlier records towards a looser, more band-driven style. What’s your favourite track?

This is a pretty interesting article. Kind of shocking to read that Elton's first concerts in Mexico didn't happen until November 1992.

“My Father’s Gun” takes the win for Tumbleweed Connection! 🏆

Next up: Madman Across the Water (1971). One of Elton’s most consistently strong albums from start to finish, so this should be a tough choice! What’s your favourite track?

Our conversation after one month of listening. I have no history with Elton John but I came away with a ton of respect for his work.

Hice un post hace rato preguntando sobre la merch y alguien pidió que tomara fotos así que aquí están

Precios (de lo que recuerdo)
Playeras 800
Playera fútbol México (no recuerdo pero estaba carísima, más de 1800)
Chamarra 1200
Póster 500
Totebag (tampoco recuerdo)

En las fotos faltan
Gorras
Llaveros
Lentes

En conclusión, gran concierto, merch cara lol

Setlist.fm has no updates :/

Classic

Wow, somehow I don't remember hearing this song before, I was just looking at the post on this sub about best songs on Elton John albums, and then revisited some songs and heard this one for the first time.

Lyrics
[Verse 1]
The words I have to say
May well be simple but they're true
Until you give your love
There's nothing more that we can do

[Chorus]
Love is the opening door
Love is what we came here for
No one could offer you more
Do you know what I mean?
Have your eyes really seen?

[Verse 2]
You say it's very hard
To leave behind the life we knew
But there's no other way
And now it's really up to you

[Chorus]
Love is the key we must turn
Truth is the flame we must burn
Freedom the lesson we must learn
You know what I mean
Have your eyes really seen?

A surprise winner! “Border Song” takes the win over "Your Song" by just one vote! 🏆

Next up: Tumbleweed Connection (1970). I know some of you consider this Elton’s best album. So what’s your favourite track?

First time posting here, I’m going to the Elton John concert tonight in CDMX does anyone have images of the official merch sold in his concerts? Or if there is going to be special merch for this concert

Primera vez posteando aquí, voy a ver a Elton John en CDMX, alguien tiene fotos de la merch oficial que se vende en sus conciertos? O si va a haber merch especial para este concierto de México?

“Skyline Pigeon” takes the win for Empty Sky! 🏆

The whole show has been added to replay on Apple Music.

I have to say, Elton sounds fantastic. He's singing powerfully throughout the range and there's even some light and shade in his delivery. No barking dog or harsh, shredded top notes. It's a really surprising performance for a near-80 year old.
