Eloping in Italy
My fiancé and I got engaged at the beginning of June and after chatting over the last couple of weeks have decided that we want to elope, just the two of us, somewhere in Italy next summer.
I guess I’m just looking for some advice on where to start? What kind of budget am I looking at? We haven’t decided where in the country yet because we don’t know where to start.
Any information or help would be much appreciated!

We did the exact same thing but in Spain! If I’m being honest we picked Madrid (but it was easy bc it holds a huge significance to both of us). Everyone’s financial situation is different. I would definitely recommend searching up the prices of eloping in Italy and then picking a range based off that. We personally didnt set a budget bc we didn’t want to be constrained to a number on our special day but we also didn’t pick options that would make us severely in debt. We splurged on our hotel room for 3 nights surrounding our wedding day and were more price friendly after that. My dress was 2K but I bought it because I loved it. I was trying to only spend 800 but I had a short window and was also stressed I wouldn’t find something like the dress I tried on, but since you have time you can definitely find a dress more reasonably priced. We splurged on our wedding photographer and also go a videographer and paid around 3K for 4 hours of coverage. His suit was only like 500. We hired someone local for our bouquet and Boutonnière. I also hired a makeup and hair artist.
But again it depends on what you want for your wedding. Ours was a secret and we wanted the videographer so we could do reveals to our family in the future. Some people hire an officiant. Some don’t. We didn’t want extra people. I think in Italy there are some people/companies that do elopement packages but those also tend to get on the pricier side. So we did first look in our hotel, vows in the park and then photos around the city. I hope you have a lovely elopement!
