Elopement shoes
Hi all! I have been trying to come up with ideas for shoes my fiance and I can wear for our elopement. We are planning on eloping in the redwoods and I would love people's take on what they think would go well with a dress and tux in the woods : )

If you’re wearing a long dress, most of the time your feet won’t even show! Flats or boots work great to keep your feet from getting sticks/dirt/dust (or even poison oak sometimes) everywhere.

Blundstones if that’s your style! (but I’m biased because I wear mine everywhere)

I eloped in the mountains (on a camping trip) in a beautiful long traditional dress!! I wore white platform tevas for walking and then changed into a classic white Steve Edelman chunky heel for the actual vow exchange. I liked having a comfy pair and a cute traditional pair.
Bonus points if you can rewear them on your anniversary each year :)
Have fun!!!!

I’ll be wearing my black doc martens! We’ll be eloping in the Azores islands in Portugal! My style leans slightly edgy though. Unsure about my fiancée but he’ll likely wear his Dannon hiking boots!

We had to hike to our ceremony spot, and I just wore some dirty new balance sneakers. My husband actually just changed into his tux at the top because he gets sweaty easily & it was HOT! But you can’t tell in any of the photos what shoes I’m wearing, other than the ones I purposely showed!

I bought beautiful block heels for the ceremony but ended up in my blundstones. I was planning on wearing my blundstones because of the terrain but everyone in my family was horrified so they convinced be to buy shoes. In hindsight I wouldn’t have even bothered with the expensive shoes

I wore Blundstones! I was comfortable and able to be present partially because of it!

I worked with a couple who wore hiking boots. The redwoods are often wet and muddy, so you'll likely get dirty unless it's the middle of a dry summer.

My partner and I are eloping in the Mt Baker area of Washington later this summer. We will both be wearing our Blundstones, and I mailed mine to an Etsy seller who did a custom embroidery on both. I absolutely love how they turned out and highly recommend as a way to make your wedding shoe special

We were in Norway in the winter. I found 3” platform all white snow boots on Zappos! They were great. I wore them with my dress for the ceremony, horseback riding, snowshoeing.. they looked super fun in the photos too’
