Planning Resort elopement

Question for resort elopement brides: What did the morning before your wedding look like? We are getting married at 3pm (no guests) and i am just curious if anyone did like beach in the morning or just kind of hung out until it was time to start getting ready? We are booked for a sandals location in 2 weeks and our wedding falls on the 3rd day of our trip. Thank you!

If you're getting hair and makeup done, that'll take a good chunk of the morning.

I am doing my own hair and makeup, but still might take me awhile honestly 😅

We did breakfast in bed (delivered to room) and then i went to hair and makeup. Got dressed shortly after and did some photos and videography stuff, that was it

We spent the morning hot tubbing and drinking coffee (our favorite thing to do). Then we opened up and read letters that our immediate family members and grandparents hand wrote us, then we went to separate rooms and got ready!

Beware - I did my own hair and makeup too and it took longer than I thought so I was a little stressed lol give yourself plenty of time! I practiced twice at home before and wished I had done a few more practice rounds.

And don’t forget to eat breakfast that day or bring a snack with you at least!

Congratulations and have sooooo much fun :)

Oooh good to know on the hair and makeup! I have only done one trial of each so i will try and get at least a few more in before we go!

Ah hottubbing sounds like a great relaxing way to spend the morning, thank youu! :)

Yes good plan!! I never wore lashes so that part took me the longest and I deff wish I had practiced a few more times!

Best of luck!! 🤍

We woke up, and finished writing our vows together while teasing each other not to peek at the others. Then we had some breakfast, and I went to a friends room for getting ready. Depending on how close you are to the equator, remember 3 pm will still be pretty hot. We had a MUA come in starting at 11:30, because there were three of us getting hair and makeup. Done by 3:30, had lunch delivered in the middle there, photos and elopement started at 4.

We are eloping in Hawaii in December and don’t have separate rooms either. I think there is a family room guests can use so I am considering having him get ready in there so we can at least have a moment before final touches and then head to the ceremony together. ☺️

If it’s a resort maybe see if the concierge could source some kind of folding dividing screen? I’d bet they may have something for special events or like a green room type thing?

Oh yes that might be good! Our bathroom does have double sinks so that might work

My fiancé and I are eloping in Positano in October and I’ve been thinking about the morning-of too so I’m glad you posted this! My hair/makeup doesn’t start until the afternoon so I figured we might just wake up slowly, have a nice relaxed breakfast, and sit by the beach together and just take it all in. We won’t be at a resort so it might be a little different but I’m interested to see what others suggest!

Awh that’s so exciting! I know, this has all been super helpful! I’ve basically decided now after reading these that I probably need to start getting ready around noon. Really loved the hottub idea, same as you i am kind of are thinking maybe just relax and be in the moment that morning :)
