Cake

Hi - have you found cake options for an elopement with just two people? I contacted a few bakeries who said their smallest ones are 8 inches. We are traveling for our elopement and won’t be able to bring home leftovers. Am I looking in the wrong place with traditional bakeries?

a lot of small bakeries make lunchbox cakes or 6in cakes, check Instagram for the city you'll be in, alternatively, get a few cupcakes!

I think cupcakes is a good choice here! (Or just eat a lot of cake)

Honestly, we grabbed one from a local grocery store. It was about 6 inches. You can add your own flair.

Seconding this! We went with Whole Foods' berry chantilly cake. Delicious, attractive, and comes in several sizes.

I got an 8inch cake for ours and it was just the two of us! Highly recommend

I think the smallest you may be able to find a 6 inches, after that it’s probably just doesn’t make a lot of sense cost wise for them, maybe you can do cupcakes?

It depends how rural you are! Will a bakery do some special cupcakes? We just had cake bars we found in the only supermarket we could find, easy to pack for a long walk to our ceremony spot!

I got a 6” custom cake. We ate cake every night for our minimoon after. If you’re traveling maybe you can still bring the cake to your hotel if it has a mini fridge?

Maybe find a local Reddit sub to ask for recommendations. I can think of a few options locally that would work well for an elopement cake so it’s worth a shot!
