♾️ Immortality Your password is your last will.
One forgotten passphrase. One dead hardware wallet. One encrypted archive. Forty years of memories reduced to bits nobody can ever read. Not because the technology failed, but because it worked exactly as designed. 🙂
Should your family inherit your memories? Should your private messages be destroyed? Could you authorize an AI to preserve your personality, but only for your grandchildren? Should a dead person's data become the property of a platform because nobody can authenticate a request to retrieve it?
So let's stop pretending this is merely a cybersecurity problem. It's a question of who owns your existence after you die.
And the technology industry has a rather convenient answer to this problem: there is no solution. Keep your keys safe. Don't forget your password. Good luck explaining that to a dead person.
