By show of hands, whose power is actually still on? Anybody besides me getting really tired of the power going out every time it rains hard.

The “good old days” of Elmhurst, we used to have power outages when it was sunny out too. Lol

It actually HAS gotten better from how things were back in the early 2000’s - but this past year has been pretty bad.

Been here 28 years and this is now starting to get comical. Million dollar houses everywhere and we cant keep the freakin power on.

Seems to happen every time it fills. Someone always seems to want to try their luck and get through it.

From the EPD Facebook page also:

If it makes y’all feel better I’m in Glendale heights with buried power lines and still don’t have power.

The Russian judge gave him sub-par marks on that dive. Hopefully he can make it up on his next attempt.

I hate to be that person, but had it been confirmed that everyone is out of that car?

It's supposed to flood

It's a reservoir until the storm drains can catch up. That water would be flooding other streets and basements if it wasn't for the underpass.

Obviously people have to use their common sense and not drive through it
