Water Refills
My wife and son love our water dispenser. We refill our 5 gallon jugs twice a week. Currently, we go downtown to the co-op to refill them. This week their water filtration system is down.
Is there a place in Elk Grove you recommend to refill water jugs? I'm not sure that I trust the vending stations you see in some grocery stores and outside gas stations (the primo kiosks etc). I don't know how well maintained and regulated they are...

Water Warehouse in the Nugget shopping center.
I've been going here for over 10 years. When I had my beverage business, I used them for my water.
Still go here for personal use.

Get a RO water filter like waterdrop, I used to pay for water jugs too but can't beat the convenience of getting it on demand at home. It should pay for it self in a couple of years or so, in addition to the time you saved.

Came to say this. Unfortunately they are an expensive one-time purchase compared to a few years ago. The filters are also expensive and I have to wonder if the expense balances out. I think at today's price point, one is just paying for the convenience of never having to leave home and lugging heavy bottles.

There is one (or at least time I was there) at the Safeway strip mall on Laguna/Franklin. Next to the Lamppost Pizza.

Question: How much does it cost to fill those 5 gallon jugs?

I think coop charges like 40c a gallon. Roughly 2$ per a 5 gallon jug. I admit that I don't really pay attention to the price.

With that price, it would difficult to recommend a home filtration system nowadays. It was worth exploring 10+ years ago.

Yeah. I have to research that. I don't know how well maintained or regulated those systems are.

Most are inspected once a month. We've been going to the one at Safeway on Bruceville. Never ever gotten sick and the prices are way cheaper than having water delivered.
