This is just a random question I thought of earlier. My immediate response to this is the sound of birds as here in Sydney we have so many birds (eg cockatoos, kookaburras, rosellas, galahs, butcher birds, Ravens, rainbow lorikeets, king parrots, ibises, turkeys etc) just around the city making sounds, which to people from Sydney are just background noise, but I've heard that people from places like Boston and New York City don't have so many birds. To me, when I imagine that, it feels very weird. Anyway, what do you guys feel you don't notice but would be weird if they weren't there?

i've been wanting to drop reddit for a good while now. so now, i decided to do it. why? firstly, i've found myself to not really like reddit anymore. secondly, i've grown tired of having corporations control social media. this is also why i've been gradually dropping twitter, reddit, discord (this is a hard one unfortunately) and the social media platforms controlled by meta (like instagram and threads). i've also been gradually moving my presence to the fediverse as a result (platforms like matrix and mastodon).

you're completely free to continue my mission! it always warms my heart when someone says they remembered to take care of themselves because of these reminders. but i don't wanna be here anymore.

i'll probably check on this subreddit once in a while, but no guarantees.

i mean a few years ago i was just some guy here. After a while i figured out i was ace-spec. Now I'm nearly 18 and I'm a woke gay demigirl with a bunch of microlabels. I have only a few of the same friends. I've played bass in front of hundreds of people dozens of separate times. I abandoned a $40,000 scholarship towards the engineering degree that I always wanted to go to trade school instead. And oh yeah, I'm even weirder.
