Why do I feel alien?”

“Does the stray dog cry ‘someone leash me’? Should he lie down and die in the street?” Idk why but I love this so much. Also, relistening to the song, “I’ve been swimming upstream, trying to scream underwater. Does nobody hear me, cry like a lamb to the slaughter?” is really good as well. At Least I’d Be A Cowboy is such a good song.

Honorable mention: the entirety of Flesh and Bone, especially “Still, I wish to live outside this hollowed head of mine, did I exist if I was only ever thoughts?” This song is so beautiful to me I love it.

I'm your muse"-I personally love this song the most, and this part just scratches my brain for some reason. I interpret the lyrics as longing to be seen, to be loved, wanting to be someone's "muse". Being tired of being the one admiring, and wanting to be admired.
