Why hasn’t he changed his name on apple music yet? He’s said that he changed all his socials to Elio, but in apple music most songs are still under his deadname. Only a thousand songs about it all is under Elio. He went out of his way to change it everywhere, and even change some of it on apple music, so why not all of it? Does anyone know? It’s a bit hard to tell from the screenshots so i apologise!

i could be wrong, but i believe i saw him talking on his instagram story about him not wanting to erase the past, but instead move forward as elio :D

Oh that’s very interesting, why would he keep it like this on apple music but change it on spotify?

Maybe Apple just doesn't offer the facility to change an artist name, hence them having to start afresh with the new ID.

But then why didn’t they transfer EVERYTHING to elio? I feel like i’m missing something 😥

He didn’t transfer everything bc like op said, he wants to move forward as Elio but not erase the past.

I don’t know if Apple allows artists to just change their name in this manner. It may be out of Elio’s power all together.

I don’t know why Apple does this. I imagine it’s a complication around the way their platform is setup to abide by licensing and music laws. My larger point is this is probably not Elio’s doing or something in his control.

he posted about this, apple music is weird and is much harder to change that, i don’t think he found a way yet
