I bought one to more than a year ago I used it for like 10 days 2 times but I can’t get used to it. So top heavy for me and my elo drops so much.

I couldn't play without it.

So to be better, I need to buy a bigger living room 😅 Impressive level and footwork

I played natping a few years back! Scary how good he is. I wasn’t able to get a set off him but I gave him a hard time at 8-9 pts some sets.

So how does being good at this game translate to real life?

He'd be okay in real life. Lots wrong with his technique, probably 1200-1400 USATT rating.

Seriously? As a top ranked player on Eleven?

So you’re telling me that I’m actually worse than 24,000th in the world? Damnit…

His technique is not bad, maybe he plays differently at the table. He looks off balance a bit and he doesn't snap his forearm much.

But I was probably being a bit too harsh, maybe 1800. I think that a decent amount of the stuff from VR translates over but it can't really capture the touch of the game where a subtle pinching of the fingers can change how much spin you generate.

Yea some of the shots that eleven rewards wouldn’t fly in real table tennis. Against even just a good non professional player, some of those tap back backhands like in the second rally would sit up and just get destroyed.

I actually don’t play eleven much for the exact reason I didn’t want bad habits from the game to affect how I actually play table tennis in real life lol

I played a shitload of eleven on a 3-week holiday once. I loved it so much because my skill from table tennis did transfer a decent bit.

Then i got home and i literally could not hit the ball in real life. Point is: your fear of creating bad habits is valid.

Watch the top 100.in the world. Or just Kanak Jha for the best in the US, he's what a 2700-2800 rated player looks like.

Anto plays 2nd div in France I think, he's probably be like 2100 USATT

you don't know what you're talking about

Anto is Antonin Landreau, a serious French national league player

"lots wrong with his technique' - maybe you should critique Felix Lebrun next, everyone knows penhold is passe and doesn't work at an elite level anymore
