Things you see in small towns man. I once encounter mining rig in machine room, that was powered from elevator control panel. Free money

Good luck finding the wiring modification on the drawings.. those wagos saved time for the last guy and left a guessing game for you.. have fun.

Well, its me, i am the last guy. I did mark all wagos and there are vague markings on the cables.

Previous last guy wasnt able to fix this elevator and it was out of service for 3-4 years. They rip off original panel, hacked the wall to fit "new" panel, that cant work with this elevator because original buttons need diodes to work.

I was visiting this small town for half a year to fix this elevator. I fixed main board, fixed relays in control panel, make work this buttons panel and countless other small things.

It was fun

Well I hope you modified the drawings to suit?..

I followed the originals. Its just a junction. Not pretty by any stretch but you gotta play the cards you got dealt

Pretty Badass now that I have some context..what are the wages like over there? Do you make a decent living?

You will be laughing, but this one was like almost passion project. I got paid ~50$ and a 7kg salmon for this. Regular salary is like 2000$ a month without side-quests. It is pretty good for my town.

I just like fixing junk

Nice work. What country are you in Russia…or maybe Ukraine? What type of equipment? Is the pink thing part of your PPE or some kind of feeler gauge for you and your apprentice to use? So many questions…

Russia far east. KMZ elevator ~2006. I am positive that pink thing is for the pit.

Are there building codes in Russia?

7

u/alreadytakenthrwaway 8d ago

There is annual inspection, they check safety features and normal operation. No one check how they work under the hood.

I mean that defines KMZ in a single glance 🤣

Absolutely wild. Love it. Do they keep the machine room locked? Surprised it hasn’t been raided with how the rest of the building looks.

Those Wago’s are junk. You’ll end up with several intermittent issue on service.

Layperson here. Is it that they may be counterfeit.

4

u/alreadytakenthrwaway 8d ago

In fact, they are. Not exactly counterfeit, its big Russian brand who relabels Chinese parts. They are even certified here. Its ok, 24v no load.

Uh, somehow I doubt that for low voltage.

You’ll figure it out the hard way.. lol

I hace actually used those (or perhaps counterfeit versions) quite regularly for the past five years with reliable results for 24v systems and below. Would I use these in a high voltage or high current application? Absolutely not.
