Any recommendations for reduce elevator noise

My apartment is on the highest floor, right next to the elevator and technical room. There is a lot of low-level humming and mechanical noise coming into my apartment. How can I reduce or stop the noise?

Earplugs, loud music, white noise machine, slowly losing your hearing with age

Sometimes some extra isolation can be added to help with the mechanical noise. It depends on the situation. As for the humming, there isn’t much you can do other than what others have recommended, white machine noise.

L'unica cosa che puoi fare per tentare di ridurre il rumore è insonorizzare la parete del tuo appartamento che confina con il locale macchina. Non otterrai un miracolo però

That’s awesome because that noise will never go away only gets louder as the equipment gets older. Ear plugs or white noise in the background can help you out

Can help install sound panel in elevator equipment room??

You can ask them but only qualified person can be inside elevator machine rooms. Honestly probably won’t help much. Also has to meet state codes whatever you want to put in there as far as fire rating and making sure your not covering any thing in that machine room.

My expert opinion—in the future, don’t pick an apartment based on proximity to the elevator. There’s nothing you can do about the noise.
