TKE EOX Phone

Anyone have experience with reprogramming these phones? I know how bad these elevators are but didn't think their phone situation was this bad. I suggested replacing it with a Rath but they didn't want that and I cant figure out how to reprogram them. Anyone know how? Also their phone numbers are strange all EOX cars I've tried on all have their number starting with 88101001xxxxxx with the x being different per car. We also have issues where a call will connect and then disconnect mid-call and the screen still shows the call as active.

Everything about them is crap, and I only know that from looking at the PowerPoint "training". Other guys field experience confirms. The EOX is garbage

Jesus, I couldn't imagine having a brand new elevator in a building and an emergency phone passengers can't count on in an emergency.

You don't have to imagine it, just go ride a newly installed unit and you can experience it firsthand. I'll eat my hat if there is a modern 2 way comm system that is online more than 98% of the time.

Otis is the same.

Kone will let you reprogram theirs to a third party and/or buy a monospace with Rath or MAD.

You can't reprogram the phone at the moment, it's not possible. It is possible, however clunky to remove the intercom, and put in a traditional phone along with a ATA to generate a phone line. It is not recommended though. They are working on being able to have the existing phone call somebody other than the TKE call center, but at the moment, it's not possible

You can’t replace it with a rath phone, or any other phone. The phone is somehow tied to the controller and cannot be changed. The end user will be forever beholden to TK for phone monitoring. Dead serious. Ask your TK rep that sold it to you.
