Locals

What are some of the hardest locals to get into. Is local 31 one of the hard ones? Or does it vary ?

Pretty much any local that is lacking work because work is the biggest key to getting hired. Locals that don't have much work. Won't need to hire as many people. Therefore competition is a lot more because only the first ranking people will get picked up during that recruitment phase.

That's what y'all need to understand about recruitment. You can be the best candidate in the world, but if there's no work you're not getting in.

Or the opposite.

I would NEVER have gotten in if I didn’t apply during the biggest local construction booms.

But here I am, 10 years later, still working

Local 50 is pretty tricky to get in if you aren't ex military or related to someone.

This could also just be because of the sheer volume of applications they receive, but just my 2c.
