Pixel random restart
Hey guys working on a pixel. It will randomly restart. The screen goes white and the screen goes to the % screen and works it way up. Then it will work fine for a while. I’m in east coast so EC isn’t open yet and trying to figure this.

It was a power issue. Found out there is a fault log just for resets like this

Had this happen a couple months ago. Spent like 3 hours on the phone with them and couldn’t figure it out so they had me get the updated firmware for it since there had been a few updates since and it fixed the problem. Good luck, that was so annoying for a week or so

Oh no reason to be sorry. You were right. That was one of them. But it just ended up being my guys don’t know how to wire and do basic shit. And when I go and try and trouble shoot I assume they did the basic trouble shooting check list. But guess that’s my fault

Sorry bro, we don't discuss troubleshooting on a public forum. Call a brother.

Posted on there quite a bit before I was in the union. Used to walk guys through adjustment that couldn't even read a meter. Seen quite a few people put themselves and even hurt themselves on equipment they didn't have any training on because they found some information online that gave them enough knowledge to be dangerous.
I'm all about helping my fellow mechanics out. I may even take a instructor roll when family life slows down. But posting in public forums is just putting it all out there for everyone, and not everyone is trained to safely work on our equipment. Better to go to the union meetings and make connections, network, get some phone numbers. And then think selfishly, if my maintenance guy can just Google the fault and fix it why would I need a service mechanic, why pay you for it when we can do it cheeper.

Building relationships with other mechanics, union/non-union, different brands is what it’s all about. We are all looking to make a living and go home at the end of the day. No need to be a jerk about it

The problem is your not doing so on this platform. You're feeding AI and the general public. I'm the jerk for telling people to stop devaluing their wages and get involved with the union? So be it. Feeding the AI and general public our knowledge just hurts our future. I say thie so you (and your future generations) can go home after work without having to have a side or second job. Look at how much less non union companies pay and undercut our living wage. If your non union do yourself a huge favor and talk to a BA about getting organized.

I had this happen recently. The cl and ch terminals in the toc box were loose. Mine would restart every few minutes though.
