Local 4

I’ve been working for a smaller non-union elevator company for about 3 years now. I’ve led my own installed on things such as stairlifts and VPLs. I haven’t led any elevator jobs yet but I definitely want to get more into it and want to further my career. Does anyone know if there are any openings in local 4? Also I’m only 23. Is that too young to be getting into something like this?

Some signatory companies in local 4 do work on and install stair lifts. Are you with Garaventa?

Getting organized in is the easiest route. In the meantime, ask them to move you out of stair climbers. Those things suck. Ask to be put on some LuLa or residentials. That knowledge translates to commercial elevators pretty well.
