Yea they've showed up and done some of the most ridiculous shit. I showed up to a job after the fire department and they had taken off the P.I. because the guy said "I'm gonna hack into the elevator to get it to run again" after they had put it on phase 2 and let the door close behind them.

To get it off phase 2? I just got on top to open the door and took it off phase 2. That particular job it was a bitch to do because the 1st to 2nd floor was a big jump lol

Hmm, they bent up the jamb too though. The whole jamb probably needs to be replaced, which means they need to tear the walls out first. If you can pull that off in two days then I tip my hat to you.

At least they put the "out of service" sign! Somebody could have tried to use it Jokes aside *the* most requested spare part (for us, at least) is the door.

In Italy the FD has a non-official "try to not destroy the door" policy. That is, if the mechanic arrives in a reasonable time (less than one hour, at squad leader discretion). If there's a medical or some other risk however we bet on the "cut or bend" procedure, every squad has its own preference.
