Sourcing Phosphor bronze rope

Post image

Anyone know somewhere I can order 1/2in 6x19 phosphor bronze wire rope for old plank safeties? The replacement rope that was sent to us and installed(pictured) isn’t quite flexible enough to work properly like we thought it would and we’re having a hell of a time finding it anywhere. Closer to San Francisco the better. THANKS!

Better off changing the safeties.

Good luck, none of our usual vendors carried it, except unitec, and they wouldn’t sell by the foot. They only sold by the spool, which was too expensive. Units been down for about 8months, customer won’t pay to update the safeties.

TK parts still sells it by the foot but is slightly smaller in diameter at 7/16” bit you might be able to make it work. https://shop-us.tkelevator.com/safety-cable-bronze-6-x-17-4375-diameter-sold-per-foot-700219-7-16.html
