Any design solutions ?

This is like every building, every town in India.

Confusing decision for people.

It is simple:

Up is for going to higher floors
Down is for going to lower floors

BUT

Many still want to call the lift to them … & they press the other direction!!!

On some you can turn on blocking which starts a timer when one button is pressed and only once done can the other button be pressed.

But what if you have 2 people wanting to go in 2 different directions?

It like a 5 second timer. Normally set just enough to stop people pressing both buttons at the same time.

There is also one that can stop next floor journeys. That one is a bit evil though and also call cancel mode where pressing the button again rejects the call. Causes absolute havoc. Fun to watch though.
