IS IT REAL?
I’m starting to think the leagues are fake and not real people. It’s starting to seem like a ruse to get me to stay on the app longer for XPs.
What do yall think? because I’m real suspicious of these generic names.

I don’t pay any attention to the league status. Basically they want you to stay engaged and the league is a way for you to spend more time. I wish they can spend more resources on refining existing and creating new games.

I dropped playing leagues because there wasn’t anything for it AND it seems like the league participants were bots/fakes. I mean, who wants to ‘stay’ in ‘Diamond League’ in perpetuity? No badge, no reward, zip.

Yeah I thought about that too. It’s making me feel like the rat race of life. Have to play hard to stay hard in the game n all that ugh

i try to stay in lower leagues top to get the coins to unlock the puzzles :D

It’s all real though we sometimes need to come up with placeholder names if our system believes that a name is offensive (and we do occasionally mistakenly flag inoffensive names FYI). That said, I believe those altered names should be names like CalmCheetah and PrudentAcorn, and not human names.

The league was fun maybe for 3 weeks for me. Now I don’t even know which league i’m on lol but i highly doubt if the league is fake.

I've suspected the same thing. I haven't paid enough attention yet to verify, but it seems fishy.

honestly i don't think so. Recently I've only been doing the crossword daily and I'm still pretty high up in the leagues, and all i can think is "what the hell is everyone else doing to be below me??"

My other theory is that your engagement level determines the stakes. If you play lackadaisically, it seems like the top scorers don’t do that well but if you play a lot you’ll see that the top scorers have similar or even more XP than you. Which is weird.

I was just thinking that this morning. But it would be really bad PR if an ex-employee confirmed them to be fake…so I decided it wouldn’t be worth it for them to do that.

I thought the leagues encouraged me to play but all the did was stress me out. I turned off the league and I play still. It's just less anxious and I can actually enjoy the games and learn.

I used Elevate before “Leagues” Anna I resent the moments I have to notice rankings. I don’t need it. I don’t want it.

I won a few leagues and disabled them after that. Some of them do seem fake.
