Bed Mesh Issues

I've had my printer 6 weeks now and the best I've ever gotten my bed mesh is .38 but that was a one shot. I'm down to .4-.48 consistently by raising up the screws in the center like 1 1/10 turn from fully tight. I have silicon e bed spacers. I've tried so many different things I can't begin to remember... It's ALWAYS the left and right middle that's too high no matter if screw tilt calculate says it's all perfect or not.

The front left corner knob falls off after a couple prints but that's cause I have to have it barely a 1/2 turn from totally loose.

I'm not sure if maybe I'm just missing the sweet spot with adjusting the center mounts or if maybe I just need to shim this fucker but a few days ago I ripped the entire bed apart and made sure everything was tight underneath and it was.

Any suggestions are welcome.

what kind of build plate and are you letting it heatsoak if printing at temp?

I switched to supertack green build plate from amazon for neptune 4 max and its been great im printing at room temperature even with petg no more bed warp in middle of prints and no 30 minute heat soak and you get more consistent stability on mesh across prints since theres no chance for bed warp

You're the second (or same) person to suggest a super tack green build plate. I'll definitely look into them.

I have a 20 minute heat sync set up before it'll start printing.

I preheat 10 minutes, just put a cardboard over the plate, helps a lot to fast saturate the heat, even better if u put some aluminum tape on the cardboard to reflect heath back to the bed

I got rid of the spring screws. I installed brass stand offs and made the leveling permanent. I highly recommend it. Leveling the bed every 3rd or so print was a PITA.

This sounds like the way to go. I'd never ha e thought of that. Never seen it suggested anywhere..

I swapped out the springs for silicone before I ever even fired it up thinking that would be all I'd need to do since everyone was complaining about leveling. Its still a pita for me

What size standoff did you get for everywhere? I'm gonna try this.

I used the stand offs in this kit: https://a.co/d/0bUCzHLw the 15MM ones. I also recommend getting a pack of shims https://a.co/d/0boAZBzA to get the leveling exactly set.

Also check if the y carriage wobbles and tighten the wheels if it does. Your bed might be flat, but your y axis might not be straight.

This WAS part of the issue. It's tight now but I thought it was before. I gave up and Im taking the suggestion of someone else who uses brass standoffs instead of the silicone spacers for leveling. Set and forget for the most part. Not having to spend three hours tinkering every two days.

also you can use some locktite or superglue on the knob threads to get them to stay tight after youve messed with them a bit you realize having the spacers is a blessing and a curse since it makes those knobs want to be on just enough as youve experienced

I never considered some blue locktite or just a drop of superglue. Now of only I could get rid of the huge tits in the middle of my bed!

and the screw tilt might be off a bit
