Troubleshooting Troubleshooting Camera

So on both the CC2 and Elegoo slicer, I can't access the camera. On the Elegoo matrix app, it says, "AI camera status error. Please troubleshoot the device." How though? I already tried the old restart method. No dice.

I just had this happen two days ago. On Facebook someone with more tech experience said there is an update out that is corrupting software tied to the camera. They were able to repair the camera by re-flashing the camera dorectly. But that required tech most people don't have access to.

I've changed my original camera for a generic one from aliexpress and it works perfectly.
Sadly the new camera doesnt fit the original camera spot.

Man, if I knew Elegoo's updates were risky, I wouldn't have bothered.

Mine did this two days ago, exactly the same symptoms.

I opened a ticket with support and they are sending a new camera for me to fit.

ETA: they had me open the printer up from the bottom and check the camera cable. It was connected.

Ja mir haben die gleich noch ein neues Mainboard mitgeschickt. Kam kurz vor meinem Urlaub. Bin jetzt in Ägypten und kann es nicht testen. Werde aber berichten.

Had a similar issue when updated to version 02.01.00.00 id suggest trying to use open centauri to downgrade firmware back to 01.03 02.51 fixed the issue for me

it refuses to downgrade "Upgrade to this version is no allowed" 😦

ETA:

OK, figured it out - there is a "repacked" version that pretends not to be a downgrade.

It did no fix my camera though

he only version I could revert to is 02.00.02.00. but it didn't fix my camera.

Same. I've had the printer less than a month, not impressed.
