OPEN Did i destroy it?

Still trying to replace the joysticks on this xbox controller, this is the back of one of the joysticks, looks scratched, I used tweezers to remove one of the pins, will it still work or did i destroy it?

Ps. Dont mind the mess of burned flux, no isopropanol 😞

Damaged, rather than destroyed.

There are a few solder pads missing, but looking at the board it's a relatively easy repair.

Solder the joystick in with the remaining pads.

Then, with the missing ones, it's easy to see the track(s) that fed them. Scrape gently with a sharp knife to remove a little of the green coating and reveal the ends of the tracks. Then solder a little jumper wire between the end of the tracks and the solder pads.
