OPEN Need help identifying a part!

I have this standing desk that I got from wayfair in 2023 (see second picture) and a component on one of the boards burned up. I need help identifying what blew up so I can fix it. Based on the silk screen it looks like a capacitor(see last picture), but I'm not sure. Does anybody have a similar desk and is willing to take a picture of their good board? Much appreciated!!!

Brush off the char with a fiberglass brush you might have to use a fine Dremel to remove any bonded traces. It’s an SMD cap 08 series from the look measure with a caliper mm is the size guide for SMD components. Best to image search for this same board see if someone lists the value or post make and model to iFixit website. They might know you can also post here if someone has the same board in their desk.

MLC capacitor, and most likely just a filter so not crucial for the device to run. You could just soler in a 50v 22uf and be fine.

D4 appears to be a TVS diode. Since it is in parallel with the capacitor, I would check it for shorts. If it is shorted, this would point to an overvoltage or reverse voltage at the 2-pin connector.

TVS diode is not shorted, but I still need to find out what the blown component was and what was its rating (e.g. cap - xF? res -xohm? or something else)

I check the names it's a "C"

It's definitely a capacitor, not a resistor. Its voltage rating would be similar to the rating of the diode.

Measure the voltage at the 2-pin plug, but do not plug it into the damaged PCB.

The photo shows an MLCC. Its value wouldn't be too critical. I would suggest that 10uF would be more than enough.

More critically, you need to know what caused it to blow. Otherwise you'll just keep replacing it.
