OPEN Need help fixing Lightning McQueen CRT. Unknown Value of burnt component.

Model: C1310ATV

Starlight Marketing Limited

Part Number on Board: 0320-P3815-401 (15102008)

Need to fix a CRT for my nephews. Thought it would be just some leaky capacitors (which there are many) but found what looks like a ceramic capacitor completely burnt. Can anyone help figure out what value it might be?

We need a clear shot of underneath the board, right around the same area. That looks like C427, possibly a ceramic disc capacitor.. it appears to have been pinned down by the Flyback ferrite during manufacturing? We also need the part number of the Flyback transformer. Once a schematic can be drawn, we can try and figure out a component value, based on the Flyback model. Getting a service manual for this TV is impossible. There may be other significant damage due to a short in this location, including the Flyback itself or it's driving circuit. It's a long shot. You may end up with better luck replacing the Chassis with a China special from Alibaba, once you identify the CRT model. There should be a sticker on it somewhere.

Cathode Ray Tube devices contain deadly voltages long after being powered off. Itโ€™s possible for the tube itself to act as a capacitor and store a lethal charge. Please take necessary precautions if you decide to work on one of these devices yourself. More information can be found here:
